McDonald’s Malaysia kicks off Discover the World campaign with the return of Spicy Korean Burger

June 3, 2019 by StrawberrY Gal

McDonald’s Malaysia is kicking off its annual ‘Discover the World’ campaign by bringing back the much beloved Spicy Korean Burger. Initially introduced in 2017, the Spicy Korean Burger has become a fan favourite menu item, with many Malaysians loving the combination of a juicy grilled kimchi-seasoned beef patty together with a spicy Korean sauce that is bursting with unique flavour and spiciness.

This time around, McDonald’s is introducing a NEW chicken version of the Spicy Korean Burger, together with the original beef version. So, whether they’re a fan of chicken or beef, customers can look forward to a delicious, satisfying burger that packs plenty of fiery heat with a distinct Korean taste.

The Spicy Korean Burger is made up of mixed vegetables, grilled onions, and a special spicy Korean sauce, tucked between warm black charcoal buns. For the new chicken version, customers can expect a tasty crispy kimchi-seasoned chicken patty, while the beef version comes with the grilled kimchi-flavoured beef patty customers have come to know and love.

“As with our previous ‘Discover the World’ campaigns, McDonald’s is once again pleased to offer an exciting line-up of special edition burgers that features distinctive flavours from selected countries all over the world, right here in Malaysia. We’re excited to kick off this year’s campaign by reintroducing the Spicy Korean Burger, which received an overwhelming response when we first launched it in 2017. It has now become a menu item customers look forward to because of its delicious Korean taste that appeals to Malaysians,” says Melati Abdul Hai, Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer, McDonald’s Malaysia.

For customers who want to complement their meals with something refreshing, the Green Tea McFlurry is also making a comeback to the McDonald’s dessert menu. Not only that, McDonald’s is introducing the brand new Chocolate Pie, which comes with a delicious chocolate filling in a crispy chocolate-covered shell.

Available starting today, the Spicy Korean Burger comes in a set together with French Fries and either a Fanta McFreeze or Coke, and is priced from RM15.99.
