THE RITZ-CARLTON, HONG KONG CELEBRATES ART MONTH

March 9, 2019 by StrawberrY Gal

The Ritz-Carlton, Hong Kong takes celebrations of arts and craftsmanship to new heights this March with two inspired promotions at Ozone – the world’s highest bar.

Paying tribute to the 100th anniversary of Bauhaus art movement, Ozone culinary team and Bar Manager Oscar Mena specially crafted cocktails and artsy snacks. The drinks and tapas set will be available at Ozone from March 15 to March 31, 2019.

Oscar’s curation of artistic cocktails include Moholy-Nagy, Albers and Klee are respectively inspired by Bauhaus’ most iconic maestros including László Moholy-Nagy, Josef Albers, and Paul Klee.

The Albers, for example, draws inspirations from Josef Albers’ painting titled Beaming. Oscar translates Beaming’s quasi-concentric squares in varying shades of blue into ocean-hued cocktail mixing rum with vermouth and a hint of citrus, served in a tongue-in-cheek milk carton glass.

The Bauhaus-styled tapas set features four delectable edible arts including three savory bites and one mouth-watering dessert. The photogenic set is a feast for both your eyes and palates.

For one night only, meet mixology artisan Zachary Connor de Git on March 29, 2019. The veteran bartender has worked in various prestigious establishments including Der Raum and Black Pearl in Australia as well as Tippling Club in Singapore.

As a Monkey 47 Brand Ambassador in Asia Pacific, Zachary has been sharing his passion for gin across the globe. During his stint at Ozone, Zachary will be mixing some of his signature drinks such as the refreshing Peach Blow Fizz and the tantalizing Late Night Transmission.
