ONE WORLD HOTEL FINISHES 2018 STRONG: Hotel Bags Award at 25th World Travel Awards Grand Final 2018

December 14, 2018 by StrawberrY Gal

One World Hotel did it again! The establishment recently scooped the highly acclaimed World’s Leading Meeting and Conference Hotel award at the distinguished 25th World Travel Awards 2018 Grand Final Gala Ceremony on the 1st December 2018. The star-studded gala ceremony was held at the 19th century astonishing Pátio da Galé in Lisbon, Portugal, witnessed by hundreds of the leading travel industries from across the globe.

The independent 5-star One World Hotel carved another spot in history having been the only Malaysian hotel to have won a renowned global award, represented by the Public Relations Manager, Ms Feryal Mufti on behalf of the hotel.

The evening marked the peak of the World Travel Award’s 25th Anniversary Grand Tour 2018 – an annual search for the finest travel and tourism organisations in the world, with the winners of all World Travel Awards’ six regional ceremonies namely Middle East, Europe, Asia & Australasia, Latin America, Caribbean & North America and Africa & Indian Ocean contending for the coveted World titles.

“What an incredible evening it has been here in the magnificent city of Lisbon. We have had the privilege of recognising the World’s leading hotels, destinations, airlines and travel providers and my congratulations to each of them”, said Mr Graham Cooke, World Travel Awards founder.

“We’ve come through a year that has been filled with both challenges and victories. We are deeply honoured and humbled to finish this fantastic year with a bang, and kick start the New Year with positive vibes! Once again, on behalf of my entire team, I would like to express our sincere gratitude and appreciation especially to our valued guests and business partners for their votes and constant support. We will continue to exert our utmost efforts to provide the highest level of quality and service to further meet and exceed our guests’ expectations,” said Mr Chris Niuh, the hotel’s general manager.

“I would also like to take this opportunity to personally thank my team for their commitments and dedications throughout the year. Kudos! This recognition will somehow engender heightened motivation for us to attain better performance. I must say that One World Hotel has undoubtedly earned its reputation as a leading independent hotel in Malaysia. Here’s to another great year of success!” Niuh added.
