Health & Wellness Journey With Vitacare

April 30, 2018 by StrawberrY Gal

It is indeed a great event this time to learn more how to take care of our health.  Vitacare’s Pharmarcy Health & Wellness Journey is  something to look forward and it is the third year where they have this event.
Held at Vitacare, The Gardens Mid Valley; this round their focus is on the topic on “FOOD” where how we can eat deliciously and yet healthy. Discover the benefits of getting healthy and also what’s the latest information on healthy supplement and products available in the market.

This round, we are brought to learn on 3 supplements which is the  Dawson’s Plant Protein, followed by wholesome grains beverage recipe tips from Good Morning and conclude with improving gut health information using New Morning, Fibre Cleanse Forte and Actizyme.

Dawson’s Plant Protein

DAWSON’s Plant Protein is a 100% vegan protein derived from yellow peas (Pisum Sativum) that contains all essential amino acid. It is highly soluble, easy to digest, hypoallergenic – and it tastes great! DAWSON’s Plant Protein is formulated using only the highest quality pea protein isolate available. Since essential amino acids cannot be synthesized by the human body, they must be supplied by our diets. Amino acids are the building blocks of proteins and are used by our bodies to support our bones, muscles and connective tissues.

DAWSON’s Plant Protein contains no animal by-products, no artificial flavors, no artificial sweeteners and no artificial colors. We use non-GMO pea protein that is 100% gluten-free, cholesterol-free and dairy-free. It is an excellent source of vegetable-based protein and is suitable for low-carbohydrate dieters, vegetarians, vegans, children, athletes and anyone needing extra protein in their daily diet. This plant protein is complements to our daily diet and they are suitable for growing children and the elderly.

Tips: Always remember to use room temperature water when mixing your protein powder as hot water will kill all the goodness in the powder.

Good Morning – 18 Whole Grains & VHalia

I often see this in malls but always hesitate to buy them and this time we comes to surprises having this. The healthy and nutritious whole grain beverage is made up of selected 18 types of premium whole grains with 7 unique ingredients. The unique ingredients are purple sweet potato, blueberry, fibersol-2 soluble fibre, calcium, lutein, soy lecithin and prebiotic inulin. 18 whole grains complement our daily diet for its high in fibre, protein, calcium and iron. One important thing to note is that the product helps to assist our eyes from further degradation due to exposure of smartphones. And not just that, the drink is not good for everyone including vegetarians, pregnant mothers, diabetics and individuals with high blood pressure and high blood cholesterol.

And we are also being recommended with their NEW release multi- grain beverages which is the VHalia 18 Grains. This nutritious ginger-grains beverage contains 9 unique ingredients such as Bamboo Ginger, Dates, Red Quinoa, B-Glucan, Lecithin, Lutien, Prebiotic Inulin, Aquamin F (Calcium) and fibersol-2.   With all this great ingredients, this is good for our body to get rid of the cold constitution such as constipation, poor blood circulation, cold hands and feet and poor immunity.  This product is also Certified HALAL as well.

New Morning – FibreCleanse Forte & ActiZyme+

It is my first time noticing this brand and  this New Morning FibreCleanse Forte can assist to restore gut flora, support gut cleansing and prevent overgrowth of bad bacteria. It’s powerful anti-inflammation and anti-oxidant properties help to support colon tissue health and functions. It contains powerful anti-inflammatory Moringa Oleifera Extract, 3 billion cfu of live cultures (probiotics) and prebiotics, rich plant enzyme, 22 types of natural fruits and vegetable extracts. The full spectrum of quality soluble and insoluble fibres helps to supply our body with the fibre requirement lacking in our daily diet.
Specifically formulated with DigeSEB®, the premium blend of digestive enzymes helps to optimise the digestion of our daily diet which is high in carbohydrate, fat and proteins. Containing 22 natural fruits and vegetable extracts it delivers a full spectrum of antioxidants and polyphenols to protect our gut’s lining thus reducing stomach inflammation.
Overall in the whole event, we learned a lot from all these health items which is not just healthy but it taste good too.
