Li Yen Heralds The Year of Dog by Puttin on Ritzy Lunar New Year

January 28, 2018 by StrawberrY Gal

Being one of the award – winning restaurant,  Li Yen at The Ritz-Carlton, Kuala Lumpur has specially designed Lunar New Year feasts to welcome the Year of the Dog. Executive Chinese Chef Leung Kwai Hong has put on a fine display of culinary artistry in his creation of the exclusive set menus, alongside a seasonal selection of delicate Dim Sum ideal for gatherings with family and loved ones.
And in here, you would definitely tempt with their wide selection of menus as well as signature dishes which are available for lunch and dinner, showcasing the best of Cantonese fine dining. And this time, Chef had selected their signatures from their menu to showcase.
Start your meals with their Prosperity Yee Sang where they have choices of salmon, tuna or abalone adds a ritzy twist to the traditional festive toss. As for this time, we had our Prosperity Salmon Yee Sang. Beautifully decorated like a flower, the yee sang come simply fresh and appetizing. Love the taste of it.
Next, we had their Dim Sum Selection where they have the Steamed Siew Mai with Crab Meat, Deep Fried Chinese Waxed Meat Roll, and Deep Fried Crispy Roll Wrapped with Chicken in one plate.  With this; you can sample the best of Li Yen Dim Sum here.
Following with a soothing bowl of soup where you will be tempted with the hearty bowl of Double Boiled Chicken Soup with Cordyseps Flower, Conch and Dried Scallops. Have the nutritious bowl of soup which are packed with flavours here.
Don’t miss out the aromatic succulent Li Yen Special Roast Chicken. The Roast chicken is simply well roasted leaving you with the moist and juicy texture in the inside while outside remains the crispiness. This is perfectly awesome-licious.
Help yourself with a great feast with prosperity with the Steamed Bamboo Fish with Chinese Ham. Enjoy the flaky fish texture with the complete flavours with the top of the Chinese Ham. The dish is simply perfect.
And of course, enjoy your Chinese Delights of course – with the Stir Fried Prawns with the Chilly Paste The delicious fresh prawns are well infused in flavours.
Ends your meal with a bowl of Fried Rice with Waxed Meat. Made with Chinese sausages specially flown in from Hong Kong, this dish requires up to 45 minutes to prepare for the flavours of the vegetables, Chinese herbs and meat to infuse into the rice leaving a distinct and rich flavour.
And of course, ends your meal with some desserts where the Black Sesame Dumplings in Red Bean Soup comes deliciously good. Not too sweet but the taste is just at the right taste.
Available from 15 February until 18 February 2018, the lunch set menus are priced from MYR 1,388 nett per table of 10 persons.
