Hachi Bakery Cafe @ Plaza Damas, Sri Hartamas : Bake from the Heart

December 23, 2017 by StrawberrY Gal

For the love of bakery, Chef Chinami Date honed her skills at bakeries in Osaka and Singapore for a decade and here she is her own bakery shop here in Plaza Damas. And Hachi is the name of the bakery. With the passion and love towards pastery, Hachi brings you with her specialities with the Japanese touch in to it.

We are happy when we heard of the awesome bakers is now in Klang Valley. The shop is not a huge one but location is just easy to spot. Located between both the Starbucks Coffee and Subway, the Hachi Bakery comes with the wood theme and walking inside is just bringing me back to Japan.

On their shelves, they have around 40 types of pastries from their signature inclusive the Melonpan (RM 3.40) , Curry Bun (RM 5), Early Grey And Apple Bun (RM 3.60) to name a few. The buns are beautifully packed and it brings you with the dense and yet moist textures.

Speaking to Chef Chinami Date; she said that she imported the flour from Japan in order to provide the better quality bread to her customers and not just that, even she make the custard and also the red bean paste from scratch daily to ensure she get the best quality served.

I had tried their plain bread as good as it is where the plain bread (RM7.40 per loaf) comes awesomely good with the fragrance of the bread. Goes well with butter and jam.

Another that we had is of course the Croque Monsieur (RM 18) satisfies with its ham and gooey cheese. The taste is awesome and it is very filing. Delicious!

And for this Christmas, it will also be Hachi’s official grand opening and to celebrate theopening, the bakery will hand out 100 Snowman Buns for free on Dec. 25 to those who like Hachi’s Facebook page or follow the bakery on Instagram. The buns will be handed out starting at 10am on Christmas morning.  Check out https://www.facebook.com/BakeryCafeHACHI/ and https://www.instagram.com/bakerycafehachi/
