Baba Nyonya @Melawati Mall

October 6, 2017 by StrawberrY Gal

Inspired by the heritage in Malaysia, Baba Nyonya Culture is not something new here but nowadays it is kinda hard to get a good Baba Nyonya delights in town as many did not heritage the recipes from their grand parents.

And here, in Baba Nyonya by Sambal Chili, you will able to get the taste of nyonya in the cozy ambience in the mall.

Chicken Lobak (RM 13.90)
One of a MUST to try here is of course the chicken lobak. The chicken lobak was indeed a good starter to have where the lobak meat comes simply moist and juicy. Deep fried till perfection, we loved how they were made with the crispy skin and juicy meat.

Asam Pedas Claypot (RM 58.90)
Instagram worthy with the huge bowl of good servings. The asam pedas was up to our expectations where the curry was good and filled with the aromas. Perfect! I don’t mind ordering another bowl of rice.

Four Angled Bean Belachan
A taste of home. Steamed till perfection, and the taste was perfect. Delicious when paired with the homemade belachan.

Curry Mee
One of the best seller here. The curry mee was served in generous portion and every mouthful was divinely good. Creamy brooth and with light spiciness in it. Sides with the tender juicy chicken slices and tao-bok

Banana Fritters
We ended our meals with the crispy golden yellow deep fried bananas. Served together with the gula Melaka and a scope of ice cream.
