JADE BLOSSOM RESTAURANT, KRYSTAL POINT 2

March 14, 2012 by StrawberrY Gal

Jade Blossom is a pleasant Chinese restaurant where they had opened another branch at the 1st Avenue. The restaurant is an ideal place for entertaining in a business setting in the Bayan Lepas area. This round, we came here for dad’s birthday celebration and we had booked the restaurant there for normal dining. Unfortunately, dad’s birthday falls during the Chinese New Year Season and we had made a decision to order their CNY Package instead of the ala-carte manual which they usually have.

The menu comes with the salmon and smoked duck yee sang which resembling prosperity. The lo sang is nothing special to shout out and we did not take any picture of it as well.

Next comes the Sharkfin soup with the Eight Treasure where it gives me a slight disappointment. The sharkfin soup is not thick enough in its gravy. There is not much treasures which I can find in the soup and the taste is kinda plain as well
Taste: 2/5

Next comes the Roasted Duck with Osmantous Sauce which is delicious. The duck is well roasted till crispy and fragrant and you can dip the duck with the Osmantous Sauce to have a better taste of it. The duck texture is quite tender in the meat and the skin is also quite crispy too.
Taste: 4/5

The Steamed Garupa with “Dong Gui” Herbs tastes nice too. The Garupa fish which is quite fresh is being steamed with the herbs. The herbs abosrbs well to the fluffy flakes of fish meat which make me falling in love with it. I love the soup so much where the “dong gui” taste is not too strong.
Taste:4/5

We had the Sauteed Scallop and Prawn Meat. The scallop that comes with it is kinda big and quite chewy as well. The prawns is quite fresh and the overall of the meal is simply nice and temptating indeed.
Taste: 3/5

We also made an order of the Stewed Baby Abalone where the Abalone is very chewy and the texture is good. The abalone is very nice bt it is slightly tiny too.
Taste: 4/5

The Assorted Preserved Meat Fried Rice is nothing to shout out. A normal fried rice which is served with the preserved meat
Taste: 3/5

We ended wih the Sweetend Baby Apple which is something special. The dessert is not too sweet too 🙂
Taste: 4/5

Total bill: RM 798.00++/10 pax
* The charges are subjected to 10% service charge and 6% Government tax
