HUA TING STEAMBOAT PRESENTS FIRST-OF-ITS-KIND HEALTHY HOTPOT & NOSTALGIC FLAVOUR TO SAVOUR

July 23, 2016 by StrawberrY Gal

Hua Ting Steamboat gives the ubiquitous hotpot yet another twist and introduces two new gourmet experiences. This month, the first-of-its-kind Five Grain Porridge Steamboat makes its debut, followed by the well-loved Lok Lok Hotpot, available from 1 August.

Appealing to individuals who embrace healthier food options, the Five Grain Porridge Steamboat packs oodles of goodness, combining fiber-rich red rice grains, soybeans, wheat, broomcorn millet and foxtail millet with Chef’s soup stock and simmered for hours to achieve the natural flavours sealed in the nourishing porridge broth. Premium seafood ingredients and handmade items such as briny-fresh Live Crab, Japanese Scallops, Tiger Prawns, Sliced Carp Fish and Cordyceps Cuttlefish Meatball, complement each wholesome pot for guilt-free indulgence with families and friends.

Inspired by fond memories of his childhood, Hotpot Chef Desmond Wooi brings his favourite Lok Lok experience to Hua Ting Steamboat. Putting his spin on this popular Malaysian fare, each Lok Lok Hotpot features a simmering satay broth specially concocted by Chef Desmond, where diners can enjoy dunking skewers of seafood and morsels of meat including Japanese Scallops, Beef Cubes, Pork Belly, Sliced Chicken, Cuttlefish and more – a gastronomic experience that whet appetites and add a touch of nostalgia to any convivial gathering!

Five Grain Porridge Steamboat and Lok Lok Hotpot available from July and August 2016 are priced at $88 and $48 per set respectively, for lunch from 11.30am to 2.30pm and dinner from 5.30pm to 10.30pm.  For reservations and enquiries, please call Hua Ting Steamboat at 6739 6628 or email [email protected].  Please note that prices quoted are subject to service charge and prevailing government taxes.
