RESPLENDENT MERDEKA SPREAD @ MELTING POT CAFÉ, CONCORDE KL

Time has come for Malaysians to celebrate the country’s independence day on August 31. Celebrate this auspicious occasion with sumptuous buffet high-tea at Melting Pot Café.

The inviting buffet spread offers a mix of local and western dishes to mark the 58th year of independence. Kick off your gastronomic journey with smoked duck and mango salad, rojak buah, tauhu sumbat or poached tiger prawn on ice as starters. Prepare your own sandwiches with choice of fillings like spicy mayo tuna, turkey ham, roast beef, grilled chicken breast and top up your sandwich creation with cheddar cheese slice. Have a bowl of hot piping tom yam talay or chicken porridge with condiments or assorted dim sum from the hot steamer section. Other light delicacies include gado-gado, roti jala and sotong kangkung.

Continue with the main dishes. Amongst recommended are Penang asam laksa, lam mee, nasi lemak bungkus, fried Singapore beehoon, crab farci, tandoori chicken skewer, deep-fried chicken wing, mushroom pie and other tempting dishes.

Appease your sweet tooth with desserts delegation led by almond beancurd with longan, passion fruit panna cotta, sago gula Melaka, apple pie and pear almond tart. Be sure to make a beeline to our high-tea buffet and celebrate Merdeka!

Merdeka Buffet High Tea on August 31, 2015 is priced at RM78.00 nett per person, served from 12.30 pm – 4.00 pm. Children between ages 4 – 12 are entitled for a 50% discount.
