THE BLUE MANSION @ GEORGETOWN

May 7, 2015 by StrawberrY Gal

BLUE Mansion

A history beneath hotel – The Blue Mansion which is also known as the Cheong Fatt Tze Mansion being one of my staycation during my trip back to Penang. The huge mansion in Georgetown in between all the big malls and highrise and it is one of the preserved #UNESCO heritage.

A stay in The Blue Mansion is indeed a relaxing and I felt I am at home during my stay. The Blue Mansion’s 18 rooms are each individually themed and distinctively grouped into 6 categories – HAN, LIANG, ZHOU, JIN, TANG and 50’s ROOM. The rooms are privately tucked within 2 airy tropical courtyards, lined neatly alongside the corridors that lead into each room.

– The Nightview-

Each room give you a different feel and we had our room by the name of Mandarin. The rooms are all have its own design and antique that give a pleasure in contemporary comfort and luxury within the heritage space. Individually decorated, from period furniture, precious heirlooms and antiques to plunge-pools, a stay at the mansion reflects the modern-life of the affluent nobleman Cheong Fatt Tze himself.

Our room is indeed a huge one located at the corner of the mansion at the 1st floor. The room fitted with classic wood furnishings and air conditioning. They have a safe, hairdryer and tea/coffee maker. The room is also furnished with the wi-fi connectivity too and this is something I need the most whenever I travel.

BLUE Mansion

Staying here is indeed like “a night in a museum” where you can learn a lot of the history of the nobleman Cheong Fatt Tze. I am amazed with the stories behind which will be sharing in another post.
BLUE Mansion

The room comes awesomely good with the huge bed and a tv. We truly enjoyed our whole afternoon on the bed cuddling our little one watching the Disney channel with her. It is such a pleasure and a good time bonding with my family due to my tight work schedule.

As for the washrooms, we are indeed impress with the beautiful bath tub. Soaked up with the bubbles and have your relax your weekends in the tub. The facilities are complete and clean.

Not just that, the service were excellent and the staff are friendly treating us like a family during our stay. I would say the overall stay was a great one and I am impressed about everything in the hotel.
