FOUR POINTS BY SHERATON PENANG CELEBRATES ITS FIRST ANNIVERSARY!

November 14, 2014 by StrawberrY Gal

Four Points by Sheraton Penang  celebrated  the  first year of  its  successful opening  with an  introduction of the  For The Love of Breakfast  campaign and  an exciting  bicycle tour across various locations  on  the island  distributing pre-packed breakfast sets to the orphanage and members of the public.

Associates, members of the media and guests staying at the hotel  gathered at The Best Brew as early as 8AM to enjoy a gastronomic experience featuring mouth watering breakfast dishes specially prepared by Chef Ismail such as the Four Points by Sheraton signature  Apple Brioche Loaf, Croissants  and local favourites such as Nasi Lemak with coffee and tea  to  build a deeper understanding of the  breakfast items  available at The Eatery in Four Points by Sheraton Penang and provide great breakfast experiences in addition to great rates.

“Opening a new hotel is always challenging, but we have achieved in 12 months what normally takes years to do. It is extremely satisfying to see what we have achieved in such a short time and credit must be given to the hotel team for doing an amazing job, to our business partners who have been instrumental in our success, to the owning company for investing in the property, as well as to ourguests who have visited”,  said General Manager Kurt Vieren.

The  12KM  bicycle tour saw the participation of approximately 60 people  made up of associates of the hotel, members of the media and hotel  guests who began the distribution of pre-packed breakfast sets to onlookers and passers-by  at the entrance of Four Points by Sheraton Penang. The tour continued along Jalan Tanjung Bungah towards Penang Road and St. Joseph’s Orphanage Home where the  team  distributed more pre-packed breakfast sets and provisions to the children (aged between 6 years to 17 years) and caretakers of  the home before ending at Tanjung City Marina in Pengkalan Weld Georgetown.

A total of 300 pre-packed breakfast sets were distributed  on the day. Additionally, 500 pre-packed breakfast sets will be distributed at the entrance of Four Points by Sheraton Penang at 9AM on the first Thursday of each month following the success of the anniversary campaign and celebration.
Located on a secluded beachfront in Tanjung Bungah,  Four Points by Sheraton Penang is convenient to Penang’s tourist attractions and convention centers and just 15 minutes from the UNESCO World Cultural Heritage City of Georgetown, the popular beach area of Batu Ferringhi and Straits Quay, an up-and-coming destination for dining and shopping and home to the Straits Quay Convention Centre.

The Four Points by Sheraton Penang features 220 stylish guestrooms and suites and more than 1,100 square meters of flexible space across four venues including two ballrooms and a pre-function area with panoramic views of the ocean.
