THE EXTRAORDINARY HONG KONG : A DATE IN LANTAU ISLAND WITH NYONG PING AND TAI-O

Being to Hong Kong and we skipped Disneyland and Ocean Park for this round, we decided to make our ways to Lantau Island. The location where Disneyland as well as the airport is located.

Well, we reached pretty early at the MRT Station to heads our way to the Lantau Island and the plan to Nyong Ping starts here. Not a good day perhaps, the place is pretty packed with visitors and the queue was pretty a long one. Waited over 15 minutes, the queue doesn’t get any better and we spotted the banners on a small tour plan there. Without hesitation, we asked about the plan and we decided to let it a try with some additional charges to it. Cutting the long queue is our main motives and we cut the whole long 1 km queue with the package we bought. The package comes well with the guided trip to the Lantau Island and also a trip to the sea with the boat to spot the pink dolphin. Give us some luck if we are able to spot them not at Tai –O.

Having that, we departed in a while with less than 5 minutes after purchasing the tickets. We headed to the cabin and we head of to Nyong Ping via cable car. Enjoying the 25 minutes ride down to the admoore the splendid 360 degrees view of Hong Kong itself. The view is indeed such eye catching bringing us the splendid moments where we can see the people walking along the track

Upon reaching , we had our trip to Tai – O where the tour guide took us there via bus and reaching there about 15 minutes ride. It is fun to enjoy the hidden beauty of Hong Kong where the fisherman village area. It is the most authentic part of the island itself to be enjoyed with the fun of the fishing village.

Tai-O village is a intricate mesh of houses on stilts is the home of the local fisherfolk; which is fascinating to visit. It is easy to walk aroundl and be sure to get a ride of the boat and experience the fisherman life.

If you are lucky, check out the Tai- O market where all manner of seafood is for sale, from alove and swimming to the dried and salted.

Ends your Lantau trip by visiting the famous Big Buddha and also the Po Lin Monastery. The 34th –metre statue of Buddha faces north towards China and it looks pretty impressive during the sun sets.

The cold wind and the lovely village ad captures my heart there. Such a lovely place to end my trip in Hong Kong.

My next round back to Hong Kong would concur the Disneyland and more interesting places.
