All the benefits of induction cooking are offered by two 38 cm wide cooktops and two cooktops in widths of 80 and 90 cm, with up to five cooking zones.

Induction cooktops stand for fast precision cooking and maximum safety. The booster function ensures intense searing and particularly swift heating of large quantities of liquid by briefly increasing the power of the relevant cooking zone by around 50 percent.
Aside from conventional cookware with a diameter of up to 28 cm, the induction cooktop VI 414 is ideal for Asiatic cuisine in combination with the wok ring and wok pan. The induction cooktop VI 424 with two cooking zones takes standard pots and pans. Maximum flexibility for the use of differently sized cookware is a speciality of the 80 cm VI 481 model with four cooking zones, and the 90 cm VI 491 model with five cooking zones. The latter also features a three-ring zone with a diameter of up to 32 cm, and booster function yielding up to 4,600 watts.

Low-fat gentle vitamin-preserving cooking, perfect grilled dishes or deep-fried delicacies, the choice is yours: special appliances like the Teppan Yaki or electric grill fulfil every wish.
As Japanese tradition demands, on the Teppan Yaki VP 414 food can be cooked directly on the hard-chromed metal surface. Vegetables, meat or fish are gently cooked at precision temperatures of up to 240 °C. The electric grill VR 414 is equipped with a large-surface cast grid for grilling. Lava stones guarantee even intensive heat boosts and thus perfectly grilled results. Two separately controlled grill zones allow grilling and keeping food hot at the same time. A two-part cast grid or half-size cast roaster, which can also be used to pot roast on a level surface are provided for optional use.
The downdraft ventilation VL 414 can be flexibly combined with the Vario cooktops 400 series models. It extracts vapours and odours quietly and effectively directly at their source in downdraft mode.
Up to four ventilation elements can be combined with a remote fan unit whose power can be effortlessly regulated by one single control. The individual ventilation elements are opened or closed manually as required. This ensures highly efficient extraction directly at the source. Downdraft ventilation is therefore an ideal solution for open-plan kitchens and island layouts thanks to the freedom of planning it affords.

Gaggenau presents the new ovens 400 series.
Maximum function and an iconic design language distinguish the new ovens 400 series. With their sculptural design the appliances in solid stainless steel in widths up to 76 cm have a presence of their own, without dominating the scene. At the same time they offer a variety of combination options. A special feature is their integration with fronts protruding by 47 mm, in combination with the panel-free surfaces and handleless doors. A control module with TFT touch display is a further novelty. It is characterised by its easy and intuitive operation and new functions such as automatic door opening. The new series is now available from March 2014.

The ovens 400 series is perfectly designed to satisfy various culinary habits and preferences. The ovens, Combi-steam ovens, Combi-microwave ovens, fully automatic espresso machines and warming drawers are exclusively crafted in select materials like stainless steel and glass. The 76 or 60 cm wide appliances feature stainless steel- backed fronts. Their doors open up to an angle of 180 degrees. Each model is designed to preserve its unique character even when combined with other appliances. Many options are possible, from a threesome one above the other, to a side-by-side combination of 45 cm-high appliances. The control module can be varied in position, on the top or bottom of the appliance to suit individual tastes.
Versatile convenience.
All appliances in the new series follow a consistent operation philosophy, and feature a control module with TFT touch display. The primary functions are operated by two controls and are always in view on the TFT touch display. Secondary functions can be activated over the touch fields of the display, and are only indicated as required. All functions of the appliance are thus extremely user-friendly: Meat, fish and pastries or pies, for instance, are cooked to perfection with the core temperature probe.
A rotisserie spit ensures crispy golden brown for poultry, rolled roasts or leg of lamb done to a turn. A baking stone is available as a special accessory for pizza, bread and “tarte flambée” that taste as if they had been baked in a professional brick oven. Thanks to pyrolytic system, even baked-on soiling is eliminated by the automatic self-cleaning.
Similarly to the oven, all functions of the other appliances can be adjusted over the control module: like, for instance, the unique combination of humidity with hot air in the Combi-steam oven, which aside from steaming and simmering, also enables baking, braising, regenerating, extracting juice and dough proofing.
Once again Gaggenau uncompromisingly brings modern professional technology into private kitchens with its ovens 400 series. With its exceptional visual appearance, select materials and maximum function this series fulfils every wish.
