According to Chinese tradition, the first day of the Lunar Year marks the start of the Spring Festival and ends with the Lantern Festival on the 15th day of the month.The celebration is jubilant and lively with the intention of taking a break from work and enjoying time with friends and family.

In addition to the Yee Sang dishes, The Eatery will also serve up three different Prosperity Set Menus (Gold, Platinum and Diamond). As Valentine’s Day falls on the last day of Chinese New Year, all single ladies who dine at The Eatery will receive a mandarin orange each. In conjunction with the Chap Goh Mei festival, women diners will be invited to participate in the throwing of the oranges into the Sandakan Bay as a part of the Chap Goh Mei customs.
