2026 Mid-Autumn Festival And Mooncakes By Mandarin Oriental, Kuala Lumpur

July 3, 2026 by StrawberrY Gal

This Mid-Autumn Festival, Mandarin Oriental, Kuala Lumpur presents an exquisite collection of mooncakes which celebrate timeless traditions, artistry infused with Malaysian heritage and where creative flavours meet refined craftmanship, synonymous with the brand.

“Celadon Green” takes centre stage as the key theme colour for this year’s box design, drawing inspiration from the ancient art of celadon ceramic which embodies sophistication and quiet elegance.

In addition, reflecting the design of the hotel’s forthcoming Mandarin Oriental Cake Shop, set to open later this year, the key visual subtly depicts Malaysia’s tropical rainforest and the hornbill. This iconic bird is revered as a guardian of family, community and nature. Much like the Mid-Autumn Festival which embodies togetherness and the bonds that connect generations, making it the perfect theme for this year’s collections.

A unique addition for this year is the newly created Hazelnut-Fig Chocolate flavour mooncake, inspired by the hornbill’s diet of fruits and with the fig being its favourite food.

2026 Mooncake Collection

Guests may select from three distinct mooncake collections this year.

From the Timeless Tradition collection with its traditional baked mooncakes and delicately handcrafted Snow Skin collection with its soft texture to indulgent chocolate varieties of the Artisanal Chocolate collection, each piece reflects the spirit of the season through craftsmanship and innovation.
