Where Beats Meet Bites A Cultural Hub That Fuses Global Flavours With KL’s Most Iconic Coffee Rave

October 9, 2025 by StrawberrY Gal

From its beginnings as a cosy neighbourhood spot, Lisette’s Bakery & Cafe has grown into one of the city’s most dynamic cafés — a place where community, creativity, and coffee collides. Known for its heritage charm, beautiful buffet spread, high-tea sets and signature Coffee Club, Lisette’s continues to stay true to the values that shaped it from the very start: warm hospitality, inclusivity, and a commitment to quality.

This October, Lisette is proud to announce its latest menu revamp that reflects the café’s spirit of curiosity and experimentation, bringing global flavours to Kuala Lumpur while keeping loyal favourites on the table. It’s not about changing its identity, but keeping things fresh and surprising. Among the highlights is Pani Puri — a playful, communal street snack reimagined with Lisette’s own twist, designed to spark conversation at every table. Also making waves is the indulgent Breakfast Pancakes, layered with a chicken sausage patty, bacon, cheese, a fried egg, honey mustard, and honey — a sweet-and-savory nod to both European and African-American breakfast traditions. Together with other globally inspired dishes, the menu balances comfort with creativity, and curiosity with inclusivity.

The Brunch Buffet remains one of Lisette’s most beloved traditions — a signature experience that has long defined its welcoming spirit. Each visit is designed to feel fresh and intentional, with a weekly spread that’s thoughtfully curated to surprise and delight. From comforting Western classics to bold Asian flavours and creative in-betweens, the menu celebrates diversity through flavour. Adding a personal touch, guests can also enjoy eggs made to order, prepared by the chef and served straight to the table — a hallmark of Lisette’s approach to hospitality.

“No matter how we grow, Lisette’s remains rooted in the joy of bringing people together over good food, good coffee, and good company. Authenticity lives in Lisette’s accessibility, diversity, and generosity — from the way the menu is crafted with heart, to how every guest is welcomed with warmth. More than just a café experience, we use food and coffee as a way to build community and make every guest feel at home. What began as a small experiment has since grown into one of Kuala Lumpur’s most talked-about cultural gatherings: the Coffee Club,” shares Daniel Hackenberg, General Manager.

Free and open to all, the Coffee Club is less an event and more a movement — built around music, connection, and creativity. Curated by resident DJ Kirstie Maximus alongside special DJs, each set offers its own energy and unforgettable vibe. Over the years, it has become the heartbeat of Lisette’s, even attracting high-profile collaborations such as the Warner Music x Ed Sheeran PLAY album launch. Every Coffee Club feels like a cultural moment — vibrant, unpretentious, and full of life. It’s where Lisette’s spirit comes alive.

In conjunction with the spooky season, Coffee Club takes on a festive twist with its Halloween Edition. Expect electrifying beats from Kirstie Maximus and a special guest DJ (to be revealed soon), paired with a specially curated buffet spread at RM65++ per person. Guests will also be among the first to experience Lisette’s revamped menu during the celebration. With seats limited, advance reservations are strongly encouraged. This Halloween promises a night of music, flavours, and connections — an experience where everyone can come as they are and leave as part of Lisette’s family.
