Shangri-La Kuala Lumpur reaffirms its commitment to breast cancer awareness this year with a series of heartfelt initiatives dedicated to advocacy, solidarity, and hope. Teaming up with the Breast Cancer Welfare Association Malaysia (BCWA), the hotel invites the community to come together and support the cause through the Pink Charity Walk 2025 and the Pink Elegance Afternoon Tea.
Pink Charity Walk 2025
The Pink Charity Walk 2025 will take place on Sunday, 28 September 2025, marking the beginning of Shangri-La’s Pink October programmes. More than just a fitness event, this 5-km community walk embodies the spirit of unity, strength, and compassion in honour of breast cancer survivors and advocates.
Participants will enjoy a vibrant morning filled with purposeful activities:
- Complimentary Breast Examinations by the MURNI Mobile Clinic to encourage health awareness.
- A Pink Bazaar featuring wellness offerings, children’s activities, and handcrafted goods.
- Lucky Draw Prizes with exciting giveaways to keep the energy high.
Families, friends, and colleagues are encouraged to walk together in solidarity, with registration open from 5 August – 12 September 2025. Fees are set at RM90 per person (ages 12–70), with complimentary entry for up to two children (ages 7–11) per paying adult.
The event is proudly supported by PBB Properties Sdn Bhd, Kuok Brothers Sdn Bhd, Multi Engineering & Construction Sdn Bhd (MEC), and Nespresso, with additional contributions from partners such as Tryke, St John Ambulance, Hello Doktor, Vealthme, KL Tower, Helping Hands Penan, and Kiddo Care. Their collective participation underscores a shared commitment to championing awareness and community support.
Pink Elegance Afternoon Tea
Following the charity walk, Shangri-La invites guests to continue their support with the Pink Elegance Afternoon Tea at the Lobby Lounge, available from 1 to 31 October 2025.
Thoughtfully curated, the menu features savoury delights such as:
- Smoked Norwegian Salmon Mille Feuille layered with cream and herbs.
- Poached Tiger Prawn with Mango Salad on Brioche, a tropical fusion of freshness.
- Baked Truffle Brie with Baby Spinach Tartlet, rich and earthy.
On the sweet side, highlights include the Litchi and Rose Cloud Cake, Matcha Raspberry Almond Rocher, and the silky Vanilla Rhubarb Bavarois with Coconut Dacquoise.
Priced at RM110 per person (RM100 for each additional guest), the Pink Elegance Afternoon Tea offers more than a refined culinary journey. With 5% of proceeds donated to BCWA, every serving directly contributes to breast cancer outreach and advocacy programmes. The set is also available for delivery and takeaway.
