At the heart of TIME : SPACE is a dual-chambered vessel—one chamber holds a rare 1940 vintage, The Macallan’s oldest release at 84 years old, while the other contains a 2018 vintage, distilled at The Macallan’s new distillery. The Macallan Harmony Vibrant Oak
Celebrating two centuries of exceptional whisky-making, the brand unveils Vibrant Oak, the latest release in the Harmony Collection. This whisky celebrates the role of oak in creating The Macallan’s distinctive flavour profile, merging artistry with craftsmanship in an innovative and visually captivating way.
The whisky’s packaging itself tells a story of creativity and sustainability. This design crafted using oak chippings—a by-product from The Macallan’s cask-making process—symbolises the brand’s commitment to sustainability and nature.
Matured in a blend of first-fill American oak and second-fill sherry-seasoned oak casks, Vibrant Oak reveals the bold influence of American oak, offering a rich complexity of vanilla, spices, and dark fruits. Diane Stuart, Whisky Maker at The Macallan, shares: “Oak plays such an important role in the colour and flavour of The Macallan and bringing it to life through our packaging is incredibly inspirational. The collection provided an opportunity to select the casks that deliver the classic characteristics of our two key wood types, sherry-seasoned American oak and sherry-seasoned European oak casks, showcasing the differences these wood types deliver.”

A Night on Earth in Jerez de la Frontera
To continue the celebrations of The Macallan’s 200th anniversary the brand introduces A Night on Earth in Jerez de la Frontera, the third release in its A Night on Earth series. Inspired by the Spanish region of Jerez de la Frontera, where The Macallan casks are crafted, this exclusive single malt whisky honours the cultural heritage of Jerez and the role it plays in shaping the distinct flavours of The Macallan Matured in a balance of European and American sherry-seasoned oak casks, the whisky offers notes of pastry, grapes, and anise, reminiscent of the Spanish New Year traditions, including the custom of eating twelve grapes for luck and indulging in the rich Pestiños pastry.
In collaboration with a local Jerez artist, María Melero, who captured her memories of the festive season in her home city, her vivid artwork adorns the packaging. Her design evokes the sherry wine vineyards and symbolic roses, natural indicators of soil health representing both the region’s cultural legacy and the craftsmanship behind the whisky
