MILO(R) Celebrates the Malaysia Boleh Spirit with ‘Dulu, Kini, Selamanya Demi Malaysia’ Message

September 5, 2024 by StrawberrY Gal

In the spirit of Merdeka and Malaysia Day, MILO®, Malaysia’s favourite nutritious chocolate malt beverage, is celebrating the resilience and unity of Malaysians with an inspiring message of, ‘Dulu, Kini, Selamanya Demi Malaysia’. An apt reflection of its presence in the lives of Malaysians for over 70 years, MILO® continues to embrace the ‘Malaysia Boleh’ spirit and fuel the nation with the energy and resilience needed to thrive. This enduring commitment lies at the heart of MILO®, nourishing and nurturing generations with a nutritious cup of MILO®, from the past to the present, and into the future, always for the love of Malaysia.

The iconic MILO® truck evokes a wave of nostalgia, reminding Malaysians of simpler times and the delicious comfort of a nutritious, ice-cold MILO®. As the country celebrates 67 years of independence, the ‘Dulu, Kini, Selamanya Demi Malaysia’ message pays tribute to the triumphs and struggles that have been the foundation of Malaysia’s unity, while proudly showcasing MILO® as Buatan Malaysia (Made in Malaysia), created by Malaysians for Malaysians.

At the heart of MILO®’s celebration is the ‘Malaysia Boleh Bersama MILO®’ contest from 1 August to 30 September 2024, where the public stand to walk away with over RM1,000,000 in prizes.

Ng Su Yen, Business Executive Officer of MILO®, Nestlé (Malaysia) Berhad, captured the essence of the message this year by saying: “MILO® has always a part of every Malaysian’s life, from sporting events to morning routines to cherished family moments. Whether supporting aspiring grassroot youth talent or our athletes at the Olympics and Paralympic Games, caring for B40 communities or providing comfort during tough times like the COVID-19 pandemic, MILO® has been a trusted companion, constantly uplifting and moving forward with the nation. Now we celebrate with one of the most rewarding campaigns ever. What better way to create new cherished memories with fellow Malaysians!”

Consumers can enter the contest by simply purchasing a minimum of RM16 worth of MILO® products. Six monthly grand prize winners will receive one set of MILO® Gold truck with four designs, an exclusive collectible that any MILO® fan will cherish. These winners will also have the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to enjoy a MILO® truck visit at their preferred location, where up to 5,000 cups of MILO® can be served to their friends, family and community.

In addition to the grand prizes, there are 27 weekly first prize winners, with each one also receiving a limited-edition MILO® Gold Truck collectible. For the weekly early bird prizes, there are 10,800 special edition Malaysian Heritage MILO® truck collectibles available, featuring four unique designs. Each design is released every two to three weeks, allowing winners to collect all four and complete the set. The beautifully detailed collectible is a symbol of MILO®’s rich heritage in Malaysia, representing not just the brand’s legacy but its journey of nurturing and nourishing Malaysians since 1950.

Adding to the excitement of Merdeka and Malaysia Day celebrations, the brand embarked on a nationwide tour to provide complimentary MILO® to the public on August 31 and will make another pit stop on September 16. To find out where the nearest truck in your neighbourhood or vicinity will be, visit MILO®’s social media channels and website.

“Our journey with Malaysians has been one of shared experiences built on driving well-being and active lifestyles with quality products. Our commitment to supporting the community remains strong. Whether you have grown up with the familiar taste of MILO® or are just discovering it, our message this year is a reminder that MILO® is more than just a drink, it is a symbol of unity, resilience and the enduring spirit of Malaysia. We look forward to celebrating and rewarding our beloved consumers,” concluded Ng Su Yen.
