Illuminate Your Mid-Autumn Celebrations with Exquisite Mooncakes from Yun House

September 15, 2024 by StrawberrY Gal

Celebrate the Mid-Autumn Festival in style with handcrafted mooncakes from Yun House, the Michelin-selected Cantonese restaurant at Four Seasons Hotel Kuala Lumpur. These delicacies, designed to reflect the full moon’s traditional symbolism of unity and completeness, are available in a delightful array of flavors, combining beloved classics with bold, contemporary innovations.

This year’s mooncake collection has been meticulously crafted by Chef Ng Meng Loong, an award-winning dim sum maestro with over two decades of Chinese culinary expertise. Chef Loong’s intricate creations are housed in a striking crimson-and-gold Four Seasons box, making them an ideal gift for family, friends, and valued business associates. These mooncakes are more than just desserts; they are a reflection of the artistry and tradition that define Yun House.

Chef Loong shares, “At the Mid-Autumn Festival, loved ones come together to share mooncakes under the ethereal glow of the full moon. It is an occasion for reunion, gratitude, and joy.” Among the standout offerings this year is the  Black Truffle Lotus Paste with Pine Nuts and Kelulut Honey . This new signature mooncake is a result of Chef Loong’s meticulous experimentation and dedication to crafting the perfect balance of flavors. The inclusion of black truffle in a snow skin mooncake is a rare and exciting innovation, sure to add a touch of luxury to any Mid-Autumn celebration.

In addition to this exquisite new flavor, Yun House offers a selection of house-crafted Snow Skin Mooncakes, featuring luscious varieties such as  Musang King Durian  and  Bird’s Nest with Black Sesame and Almond . For those who prefer the timeless appeal of traditional mooncakes, the Classic Baked Mooncakes selection includes delectable fillings such as  Traditional Mixed Nuts ,  Pandan Lotus Seed Paste with Yolk , and  White Lotus Seed Paste .

The limited-edition Four Seasons box, adorned with elegant patterns, adds an extra layer of sophistication to the gifting experience. Beyond its role as a mooncake container, the box doubles as a beautiful jewelry case, making it a cherished keepsake long after the mooncakes are enjoyed.

Individual mooncakes are priced between MYR 44+ and MYR 80+ per piece, with gift boxes available from MYR 288+ to MYR 388+. Orders can be placed now, with collection available from July 29 to September 17, 2024. For those who order before August 15, 2024, a 15 percent early bird discount is available, adding even more reason to celebrate.
