HONOR Partners with Google Cloud to debut AI in HONOR Magic V3

September 2, 2024 by StrawberrY Gal

HONOR is excited to announce its partnership with Google Cloud to bring advanced AI features to the upcoming HONOR Magic V3, set to launch in Malaysia and at IFA 2024 in Berlin this Thursday. This collaboration introduces innovative features such as AI Eraser, Face to Face Translation, and HONOR Notes.

In addition to these cutting-edge features, the HONOR Magic V3 features the new Magic Portal, offering a convenient and intelligent experience that redefines how users interact with their devices. Below are how the AI features on the HONOR Magic V3 can transform everyday life, enhancing work, travel, and social interactions.

HONOR AI Eraser

Harnessing the power of generative AI technology developed in collaboration with Google Cloud, the AI Eraser feature on the HONOR Magic V3 enables users to remove unwanted objects from their photos with ease. Whether it’s a passer-by disrupting a picturesque landscape or an unwanted object, the AI Eraser seamlessly reconstructs the background, ensuring the final image is flawless.

Face to Face Translation

HONOR’s Face to Face Translation feature is designed to break down language barriers by providing instant translations during live conversations. This feature is useful when asking for directions when travelling in a foreign country, engaging in dialogue, or understanding speeches in another language. Currently, Face to Face Translation supports 10 languages, including Chinese, English, French, German, Spanish, Italian, Russian, Turkish, Arabic, and Bahasa Malaysia.

HONOR Notes

The Voice to Text feature on HONOR Notes utilises advanced AI voice recognition technology to transcribe spoken words into text with precision, allowing users to effortlessly record notes on the go. Once recorded, users can easily access the written transcript within the HONOR Notes app at any time. This feature also filters out background noise, focusing solely on the user’s voice to minimise errors or typos.
Moreover, HONOR Notes is equipped with translation capabilities powered by Google Cloud for users to translate text or voice inputs into multiple languages directly within the app.

Magic Portal – Circle to Do More

This new Magic Portal feature enhances multitasking by allowing users to easily share and search information easily. Just circle text, addresses, or images using knuckle and drag them into apps like Google, WhatsApp, Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok through the Magic Portal. On the HONOR Magic V3, users can open two Magic Portals simultaneously making search activities like price comparison and navigation convenient.
HONOR Magic V3, Thinnest and Lightest Foldable
The HONOR Magic V3 redefines the foldable smartphone market with its ground-breaking design. Not only does it excel in performance, hardware durability, and battery life, but it also boasts the thinnest and lightest design in HONOR’s foldable category, making it better than most flagship bar phones.
Measuring 9.2mm in thickness when folded and an astonishing 4.35mm when unfolded, and weighing only 226g, the HONOR Magic V3 defies expectations of what a foldable device can accomplish.

Experience the HONOR Magic V3 at the roadshow in Pavilion Kuala Lumpur from 3 to 8 September 2024

Ahead of its official launch on 5 September, HONOR invites the public to the HONOR Magic V3 Roadshow at Centre Court, Pavilion Kuala Lumpur, happening from 3 to 8 September 2024. Mall patrons will have the opportunity to experience the HONOR Magic V3 first-hand, along with the new flagship tablet, HONOR MagicPad 2, and the MagicBook Art 14 laptop.
The is an experience zone where mall patrons can explore features of the three devices. Additionally, mall patrons who complete four experience zone activities – AI Eraser, Magic Portal – Circle to do More, Evolution of Foldable Thickness and Face to Face Translation can redeem a complimentary beverage. They also can try the AI Eraser by capturing photos with the HONOR Magic V3 and removing unwanted background objects.
