Velvet Restaurant & Bar @ 163 Retail Park Mont Kiara

July 2, 2024 by StrawberrY Gal

If you’re looking to escape from reality and indulge in a culinary delight, Velvet Restaurant and Bar is your perfect destination. Nestled on the 3rd floor of 163 Retail Park in Mont Kiara, Velvet offers a relaxing ambiance where you can savor an array of delicious meals.

Classic Chicken Burger (RM 33)

A must-try at Velvet, the Classic Chicken Burger features a crispy fried chicken chop topped with cheddar cheese, truffle mayo, and whole grain mustard. All this is sandwiched between a soft brioche bun and served with a side of fries and fresh salad greens. It’s a perfect combination of flavors and textures, making it a satisfying meal.

Umami French Fries (RM 20)

The Umami French Fries are an absolute treat. These crispy fries are dusted with a special umami seasoning and served with nitsume mayo. The combination of the crispy fries and the flavorful mayo makes for an addictive snack that you won’t be able to resist.

Smoked Duck Carbonara (RM 25)

A specialty and best-seller at Velvet, the Smoked Duck Carbonara is a dish not to be missed. The al-dente spaghetti is topped with smoked chicken breast and a perfectly cooked onsen egg, creating a creamy yet light dish. It’s a delightful twist on the traditional carbonara that will leave you wanting more.

Asam Pedas Siakap with Okra and Ice Lemon Tea (RM 14.90)

One of my personal favorites, the Asam Pedas Siakap is a value-for-money dish bursting with flavors. The sour and spicy blend of the asam pedas sauce perfectly complements the chunky, fresh siakap fish. Paired with okra and a refreshing ice lemon tea, it’s a dish that will have you coming back for seconds.

Knickerbocker Glory

For dessert, the Knickerbocker Glory is a must-try. This delightful treat features a vanilla sundae with strawberries, mochi, lychee, pistachios, and caramel popcorn, all served in a cookie basket. It’s a perfect medley of flavors and textures that will satisfy any sweet tooth.

English Trifle

Another dessert favorite, the English Trifle, is a beautiful combination of ladyfingers layered with vanilla custard, strawberries, and berry compote. It’s a classic dessert that is both light and indulgent.

Don’t miss out on the specialty concoctions by Velvet’s in-house bartender. Inspired by iconic films, the signature mocktails include creative options like Pink Panther, Black Swan, Greenland, and Turning Red. Each drink offers a unique flavor profile that complements the exquisite food menu.

Whether you’re in the mood for a hearty burger, a flavorful pasta, or a refreshing dessert, Velvet Restaurant and Bar has something to satisfy every craving. Escape the hustle and bustle of daily life and treat yourself to a memorable dining experience at this culinary gem in Mont Kiara.
