The Hong Kong Tourism Board (HKTB) invites Malaysians to an immersive pop-up activation event at Sunway Pyramid, Petaling Jaya from 2 to 4 August 2024, to discover the city’s best kept secrets over the launch of its Hong Kong Hidden Gems regional campaign.
While famous for its spectacular skylines and vibrant streets, Hong Kong boasts a wealth of hidden treasures waiting to be uncovered – from Upper Lascar Row’s eclectic mix of antique shops and thrift stores to Tsz Shan Monastery’s zen vibes. As part of this campaign, HKTB has curated a list of hidden gems for Malaysians to add to their Hong Kong travel bucket list that will take them through nature & adventure, arts & culture, shop & play, and food & drinks.
Visitors will have the opportunity to participate in interactive games to redeem a Hong Kong-themed blind box, and enter a lucky draw, of which two participants will win a pair of AirAsia return flight tickets each to Hong Kong*!

Event Highlights:
Interactive Activities: Dive into the sights and sounds of Hong Kong’s hidden gems while enjoying a variety of fun and interactive games.
Blind Box Giveaway: Complete three game stations and redeem an exclusive blind box, filled with a unique Hong Kong souvenir. Limited to 3,000 blind boxes to be given away, on a first-come-first-served basis.
AI Photo & Travel Profile Analysis: Malaysia will be HKTB’s first market to launch this AI filter. Users have to scan a QR code at the event, answer questions on travel preferences and upload a photo, which will generate a personalised photo of the user in Hong Kong and recommended places to visit according to the travel profile.
Special Guest Appearances:
Sat, 3 Aug (3 PM – 5:30 PM): Meet Jestinna Kuan and Danny as they perform their new duet song ‘live’ for the first time and share highlights from their recent trip to Hong Kong. Participate in on-stage games andwin prizes.
Sun, 4 Aug (3 PM – 5:30 PM): Join the Kuan family (Jestinna, Christinna,Perry and their parents) as they share stories and experiences from their recent family trip in Hong Kong. Engage in interactive games and activities with the family to win prizes.
Grand Prize Draw:
Sat & Sun, 3 & 4 Aug, Sat & Sun (5 PM): There will be one lucky winner each day to win a pair of AirAsia return air tickets to Hong Kong. To enter the draw, complete all the game stations, and drop the lucky draw participation stubinto the designated mailbox. Participants must be present at the event to be eligible to claim their prizes.
