Sofitel Kuala Lumpur Damansara Welcomes Vincent Gernigon as New General Manager

Sofitel Kuala Lumpur Damansara is delighted to announce the appointment of Vincent Gernigon as the hotel’s new General Manager, effective 27 March 2024. With a wealth of international experience in the hospitality industry spanning America and Southeast Asia, Vincent is poised to further enhance the prestigious image of Sofitel Kuala Lumpur Damansara.

Vincent Gernigon began his journey with Accor in January 2006 at Sofitel Thalassa Quiberon, France, showcasing exceptional dedication and talent that propelled him through various roles within the company. Notably, Vincent held a significant tenure at Sofitel Legend Metropole Hanoi, Vietnam, where he oversaw Food & Beverage operations before taking on the leadership of the hotel’s overall operations.

Vincent’s career highlights include pivotal roles in the restoration and repositioning of Raffles Siem Reap, Cambodia, and the successful opening of a flagship Sofitel property in Seoul, South Korea, featuring 403 rooms and 160 residences.

Expressing his enthusiasm for his new role, Vincent stated, “I am honoured to lead Sofitel Kuala Lumpur Damansara at such a defining point in our collective history. I look forward to working with the talented team here to uphold the hotel’s legacy of excellence and create memorable experiences for our guests.”

In his new capacity as General Manager, Vincent will oversee the daily operations and strategic direction of Sofitel Kuala Lumpur Damansara’s 312 rooms and suites, diverse dining options, event spaces, spa, and fitness centre. As the hotel approaches its seventh anniversary in August, Vincent’s appointment signifies a commitment to continued excellence and innovation.
