Crowne Plaza Hotels & Resorts Debut in Malaysia

December 10, 2023 by StrawberrY Gal

IHG Hotels & Resorts will open its first Crowne Plaza hotel in partnership with Yuk Tung Properties in Malaysia on 15 December 2023. The new-built 320-room Crowne  Plaza Kuala Lumpur City Centre is located in the heart of the capital city and within walking distance of the  KLCC business and shopping districts.

Crowne Plaza Hotels & Resorts is one of the world’s largest premium hotel brands, with more than 400 hotels  in major cities and resort locations in 65 countries. Inspired by the evolving demand for flexible spaces, the hotel  will showcase the brand’s distinctive design style, built on the blended integration of work and personal including  the Crowne Plaza patented Worklife Rooms. As a brand, Crowne Plaza has been at the forefront of  understanding guest needs for productivity, restoration and inspiration.

Crowne Plaza Kuala Lumpur City Centre unveils a distinctive design narrative, a harmonious blend curated by  renowned international interior and architectural design firm, the G.A Group. Helmed by Adrian Currie, the  design encapsulates both the bustling energy of the city and the tranquil allure of Malaysia’s tropical rainforests.

Each element contributes to this immersive experience, creating a symphony of nature and elegance that is not  just observed but lived.

Tailored for the contemporary traveller, these modern-designed rooms and suites, ranging from 36 to 146 square meters, offer a versatile experience with distinct zones, ensuring a perfect balance between work and  relaxation. Abundant natural light bathes the rooms through expansive windows, providing panoramic views of  the vibrant city centre. Innovative auto motion sensor lighting enhances guest convenience by automatically  adjusting lighting levels based on occupancy.

Guests can indulge in moments of tranquillity with bathtubs and large-format bath amenities from New Zealand’s  organic beauty brand, Antipodes®, ensuring a premium experience beyond design. To complement this,  RhymBa Lobby Lounge & Bar elevates the traditional lounge experience by seamlessly blending co-working  functionality with leisure, offering solo pods and huddle stations perfect for quick meetings or focused individual  work amidst a relaxed ambience. Ascend to Level 13 and discover NEST@13, a dedicated co-working lounge,  providing a stimulating environment equipped with modern amenities, ample workspace options, and a private  meeting room.

Merchants All Day Dining, located on Level 13, invites guests on a global culinary journey in a vibrant and stylish  setting. The restaurant’s interior, featuring communal tables, open kitchens, and décor evoking the vibes of a  bustling marketplace, creates a warm and inviting atmosphere. From the aromatic ‘BBQ Free Range Chicken’  to the flavourful ‘River Shrimp Curry Noodles’ and indulgent ‘Pandan Burnt Basque Cheesecake,’ each of this  signature dish captures the rich tapestry of Malaysian flavours. Executive Chef Adrian Jackson, with over 30  years of expertise, leads this gastronomic odyssey, making each dining experience a masterpiece.

Crowne Plaza Kuala Lumpur City Centre stands as a versatile hub, offering an expansive 12,000 square feet  of space for meetings and events. The hotel boasts an array of distinctive meeting spaces, including a grand  ballroom infused with the captivating design of a rainforest, creating an atmosphere that transcends the  conventional. Complemented by flexible function rooms bathed in the soft glow of natural daylight, this  meticulously designed venue provides the perfect canvas for a spectrum of occasions, from business meetings  and workshops to social gatherings and weddings.

Crowning the experience, guests can unwind and recharge at the rooftop infinity pool, offering breathtaking city  skyline views. The fitness centre, featuring panoramic sky vistas, allows guests to maintain their wellness  routines during their stay.

In early 2024, Crowne Plaza Kuala Lumpur City Centre will introduce signature suites, an executive lounge, and  its specialty French brasserie, Le Midi, located on Level 32 and features a bar and terrace for dining. Mr. Kuljit Singh, General Manager of Crowne Plaza Kuala Lumpur City Centre, remarked: “Crowne Plaza  Kuala Lumpur City Centre stands as more than a hotel; it’s an immersive haven that offers versatile spaces for  a blended travel experience. Our commitment is to create an environment that allows our guests to connect, be  inspired, and thrive, ensuring every stay is a harmonious blend of work and leisure.”

The hotel is the latest addition to more than 6,000 hotels within the IHG One Rewards loyalty programme.  Centred around guests, the best-in-class loyalty programme offers richer benefits at 19 leading hotel brands  and more ways to be rewarded than ever before, all powered by leading technology through the new IHG One  Rewards mobile app. Asia Pacific is the future home of more than 90 Crowne Plaza hotels including Crowne  Plaza Bangkok Grand Sukhumvit, Crowne Plaza Penang Straits City and Crowne Plaza Kota Kinabalu  Waterfront in South East Asia; Crowne Plaza Melbourne Carlton, Crowne Plaza Shell Cove Marina and Crowne  Plaza Fiji Nadi Bay Resort & Spa across Australasia,
