UNIQLO Unveils Revamped Fahrenheit88 Store, with new Services and Malaysia’s First UNIQLO Coffee

Global apparel retailer UNIQLO today celebrated the official re-opening of its retail chain at Fahrenheit88, Kuala Lumpur. After an extensive five-month closure for renovation, customers to expect a redesigned three-story shopping haven, offering a full line-up of LifeWear from both core and special collections, as well as an exciting range of new services and UNIQLO Coffee. 

The remodelled UNIQLO Fahrenheit88 store spans 33,937 square feet, representing the next step in creating a more convenient shopping experience for both the local community and tourists. This expansion is designed to enhance accessibility and convenience within the lively city centre, reaffirming UNIQLO’s commitment to providing a space that is truly caters to everyone. Embracing the “Made for All” concept.

The reopening at Fahrenheit88 demonstrates UNIQLO’s commitment to delivering LifeWear, offering comfortable and stylish apparel to its customers. This three-story store offers a wide range of UNIQLO’s high-quality and comfortable LifeWear clothing, for men, women, and children. Shoppers can explore the latest seasonal collections, including versatile basics, innovative activewear, and stylish casual wear.

The grand opening was graced by an esteemed lineup of distinguished guests, underscoring the significance of this milestone event. Satoshi Tokumine, Chief Operations Officer of UNIQLO Malaysia, Tomohisa Kikuchi, Chief Financial Officer of UNIQLO Malaysia, Yeoh Oon Lai, Executive Advisor of Wing Tai Sdn Bhd, Puan Sri Cindy Lim, Executive Chairman of Kuala Lumpur Pavilion Sdn Bhd and Ong Li Hua, store manager of UNIQLO Fahrenheit88.

Yuki Yamada, Group Executive Officer of Fast Retailing and Chief Executive Officer of UNIQLO Malaysia and Singapore said, “We are genuinely thrilled about the grand reopening of UNIQLO Fahrenheit88. Since its opening in 2010, UNIQLO Fahrenheit88 has not only been a go-to shopping destination for the locals but also a beacon for tourists from across the globe. It has seamlessly become a part of Kuala Lumpur’s vibrant lifestyle, meeting the diverse fashion preference of both locals and global visitors.”

As part of the UNIQLO Fahrenheit88 reopening, the brand collaborated with local contemporary artist Red Hong Yi to create UTme! stickers that celebrate individuality and diversity. These stickers feature an illustrated flower motif, which visually represents UNIQLO’s core philosophy, “Made For All.” Just like each flower possesses its unique structure and beauty, these stickers symbolize the distinctiveness of every individual.

UNIQLO made its debut in Malaysia in 2010 with the opening of its first store at Fahrenheit88. Since then, UNIQLO’s LifeWear products have gained significant popularity among Malaysian customers, leading to the establishment of 57 stores across the country to date.

Some highlights and features of the UNIQLO Fahrenheit88 Store include:

• UNIQLO Coffee, the first of its kind in Malaysia, offers both takeout and dine-in options, inviting customers to savor UNIQLO’s unique coffee blend.

• Special collaboration with Red Hong Yi, the floral design embodies UNIQLO’s inclusive philosophy, “Made For All,” exclusively accessible for UTme! customization at Uniqlo Fahrenheit88.

• RE.UNIQLO Studio introduces additional repair and embroidery services, fostering a circular economy and embodies the brand’s enduring dedication to sustainability.

• UT and UTMe! feature motifs from pop-culture icons and allow customers to personalize T-shirts and tote bags with their designs or existing motifs, adding a unique touch.
