Green Season: InterContinental Danang is fresh, fun and exciting

October 16, 2023 by StrawberrY Gal

The Green Season is a wonderfully vibrant time of year in Central Vietnam. As the air starts to freshen and the natural world blossoms, this enchanting region comes alive with vivid colours and heady fragrances. Popular attractions such as Hoi An are also less crowded, giving guests the chance to explore the true beauty of these idyllic destinations.

At InterContinental Danang Sun Peninsula Resort, the five-star sanctuary on Vietnam’s Son Tra Peninsula, these cooler months offer the ultimate opportunity to relax, revive and reconnect. This 39-hectare paradise spans four levels – Heaven, Sky, Earth and Sea – and nature lovers can spend endless days strolling through the landscape and witnessing this lush wilderness in full bloom.

To help guests soak up the serenity of the Green Season, InterContinental Danang has created an activity-packed schedule of adventures to inspire every type of traveller. Wellness seekers can take part in the resort’s weekly “Energy Zen Retreat,” carefully curated to enhance mental and physical wellbeing. Co-hosted by Alyona Lezhava, the Wellness Manager, this half-day experience incorporates an array of activities, including a swim and healthy lunch in an exclusive private villa.

Guests can kick start their mornings with sunrise yoga classes, enjoy invigorating kick-boxing sessions, embark on nature tours, or feel the power of tai chi by the sea. Energizing HIIT workouts are available every afternoon, and Pranayama yoga and meditation classes will help every visitor to achieve spiritual balance. For truly serene, multi-sensory experiences, Mi Sol Spa uses sound therapy to help visitors achieve equilibrium.

A full sporting schedule runs throughout the Green Season, including brand new indoor badminton, paddleball and shuttlecock kicking (đá cầu in Vietnamese). Beach football, volleyball and tennis round out the activities.

Lovers of Vietnamese food and drink have plenty of opportunities to taste and learn. A new coffee-tasting experience unlocks the secrets of traditional local brews, including egg coffee from Hanoi in the north, coconut coffee from the south, and salt coffee from Central Vietnam. With cooking classes, wine tasting sessions, and cocktail & mocktail making lessons, visitors will savour the authentic flavours of the country.

Culture seekers have a wealth of activities to enjoy during Green Season. Regular Design Tours showcase the imaginative design of the Resort, which a documentary film festival and other movies will be screened at the Resort Cinema. The Bensley Outsider Gallery is open daily with an every-changing exhibition, and the private karaoke rooms are waiting for the fun. Of course, youngsters can be kept fully engaged with pizza-making classes, kids’ yoga, fun boxing, children’s movies and Nintendo gaming.

InterContinental Danang’s dedicated Resort Cinema will be screening a film festival and family favourites

“The Green Season is a wonderful time of year to visit Central Vietnam. After the heat of the summer months, the entire region starts to feel refreshed and rejuvenated. It’s a perfect time to visit,” said Seif Hamdy, the resort’s general manager.

Additional charges may apply for some guest activities. For more information and to book your Green Season vacation, please contact +84 236 393 8888 or [email protected].
