Taste of Toulouse @ Taylors Culinary

April 12, 2023 by StrawberrY Gal

It is our first time trying the taste of Toulouse. For those who are not aware, Toulouse is a city located in southwestern France, in the region of Occitanie. It is the fourth largest city in France, after Paris, Marseille, and Lyon. The city has a rich history dating back to the Roman Empire and has played an important role in the development of the aerospace industry.

Toulouse is known for its unique architecture, including the famous pink-brick buildings that give the city its nickname “La Ville Rose” (The Pink City). Some of the notable buildings in Toulouse include the Basilica of Saint-Sernin, the Capitole de Toulouse, and the Canal du Midi, which is a UNESCO World Heritage site.

And this time, we got a chance to enjoy the delicious menu curated by  Chef Jean Pierre Blasco and Chef Pascal Bonnafous.  We enjoyed the awesome 4 course dining experience

Amuse Bouche

The Wild Mushroom Ravioles with Winter Truffle and Parmesan Emulsion is a type of amuse bouche that features small ravioli filled with wild mushrooms and served with a winter truffle sauce and a Parmesan emulsion. The dish combines earthy mushroom flavors with the rich and decadent flavors of truffles and Parmesan cheese. They are perfectly an indulgence where the flavours are so good, delecteable and brings you with the fragrant of the mushroom taste

Entrees

We are amazed with the entrees which is being served. We had the Fresh and Smoked Salmon Gravlax which is beautifully served with the Citrus and Dill Sauce together with the Granny Apple and Grapefruit. It is so nice and we love how the combination is done and making it to be in our MUST have list here.

Main

As for the main course, we had the pleasure of trying the original and classic French Cassoulet. This dish is an inspiration in itself, combining a rich blend of flavors and textures that take your taste buds on a journey to the south of France. The Cassoulet is a traditional slow-cooked stew that typically features white beans, sausage, and different types of meat, such as duck or pork. The recipe for this Cassoulet has been passed down for generations and is truly an authentic representation of French cuisine. The hearty and comforting dish is the perfect way to warm up on a cold day, or simply indulge in a delicious and satisfying meal.

Desserts

We were left in awe after indulging in the delightful dessert that captured our hearts. The Frozen Coulant, Coquelicot Mousse, and Red Berries were the perfect ending to our meal. The frozen coulant, with its warm and gooey chocolate center, was complemented by the light and airy coquelicot mousse. Topped with a generous serving of fresh red berries, each bite was bursting with flavors that left us wanting more. It was truly a delectable masterpiece that we won’t forget anytime soon.

The meal is priced at RM 200 person. Reserve your seats now
