MALAYSIA’S MOST EXCLUSIVE CONNOISSEUR’S STORE, THE CHAMBER, OPENS ITS THIRD STORE IN PAVILION BUKIT JALIL

March 18, 2023 By StrawberrY Gal - Food News Leave a Comment

The Chamber has opened the doors to a brand-new connoisseur’s store in Pavilion Bukit Jalil, carrying over 1,000 labels – the widest collection in the country for the most discerning palates. The store in Pavilion Bukit Jalil is The Chamber’s third outpost, following its flagship at The Starhill and the second store at Sunway Pyramid. Conceptualised to be a library of the finest tastes from breweries, distilleries, vineyards and cigarmakers around the world, The Chamber’s specially curated selection sprawls across an expansive 4,035 sq ft, including an al fresco area.

“We are excited to bring The Chamber to the Bukit Jalil community,” says Justin Lim, co- founder of The Chamber. “As a mall under the Pavilion brand, The Chamber at Pavilion Bukit Jalil will benefit from its stellar reputation for providing an upscale atmosphere and quality retail offerings in a convenient location.”

Apart from their large collections, The Chamber has a reputation for service excellence, with each outlet staffed by a team of bartenders, sommeliers and mixologists who have the knowledge, training and passion to deliver uniquely bespoke experiences for all its customers.

Lim explained that he had established The Chamber to make connoisseurship accessible to all, with selections from The Chamber made available both online and in its stores.

To start them on their personalised journey to connoisseurship, every patron of The Chamber, either on its online platform or its stores, will be automatically entitled to becomea privileged member of The Chamber.

He added, “The Chambers’ purpose statement, ‘Good Spirits, Good Company,’ is a representation of our mission to provide the highest quality products and services with a focus on delivering personalised experiences for all those who choose to imbibe with us. Our goal is to open 10 stores nationwide within the next three years.”

Discover Exclusive Collections and Rare Editions

The Chamber’s store at Pavilion Bukit Jalil will feature over 1,000 labels for every patron’s browsing pleasure, including Old World and New World fine wines, notably rare collections from the prestigious Premier Grand Cru ranked wine estates of Château Margaux and Château Cheval Blanc in Bordeaux. Oenophiles will also find a vertical set of Chateau Lafite Rothschild from 1970 – 2017, an exclusive for Bukit Jalil.

Cognac lovers will find Remy Martin’s coveted Louis XIII, which comprises a blend of 1,200 eaux-de-vie between 40-100 years old, aged in oak barrels that are several hundred yearsold, and Hennessy’s Hennessy Richard and Hennessy Paradis. The Bukit Jalil store will also be the brand’s only outpost to showcase the exceptionally rare Hennessy 8 Cognac—an extraordinary blend of eight carefully selected eaux-de-vie presented in a stunning Baccarat decanter designed by Paris-based artist and industrial designer, Arik Levy. Only 250 decanters have been created for this release, with each numbered and signed by Levy himself.

Whiskey enthusiasts will be able to discover the works of art from Scottish distilleries, The Macallan, Dalmore and The Balvenie at The Chamber, while sake lovers will be able to find collections from the mysterious cult sake brand Juyondai at The Chamber as well as the Dassai Collection. Also available are the highly sought after Dom Perignon vintage champagnes and Krug Champagne. Champagne connoisseurs will also be delighted as Champagne Telmont, the heritage Maison specializing in organic wine production, is available exclusively at The Chamber.

The Chamber is also the exclusive retailer for BouncebackTM, an organic supplement that helps increases alcohol metabolism and aids post-alcohol recovery, making natural hangover remedies more accessible to patrons at their location.

Exclusive Membership Privileges

Memberships will be made available online or in The Chamber stores, with four membership tiers. All inductees on the connoisseurship journey will be awarded a Blue membership with Silver, Gold and Emerald tiers unlocked according to total yearly bills. Exclusive membership events include weekly connoisseurship masterclasses comprising wine tasting and pairing events. Blue Members will receive 1000 points as a welcome gift (equivalent to RM10) and a RM50 voucher on their birthday month.

Silver members have the additional privileges of receiving 5% off during their birthday month, a complimentary bottle worth up to RM500, complimentary access to the Private Chambers for up to eight times, a one time complimentary rental of the Mobile Chamber, and a two-day, one night staycation at a five-star hotel.

Gold members enjoy upgraded benefits including a complimentary bottle worth up to RM1,000, complimentary access to the Private Chamber 24 times a year, complimentary rental on the Mobile Chamber for up to two times, a 1-year complimentary whiskey or cigar subscription, and a fine dining experience for two worth up to RM1,000.

Top of the tier are the Emerald members, who will enjoy unlimited access to the Private Chambers, five times complimentary rental on the Mobile Chamber, a complimentary bottle worth up to RM5,000, a full-board three-day, two nights staycation at a five-star hotel, as well as a fine dining experience for two worth up to RM3,000.

The Private Chambers

The Chamber at Pavilion Bukit Jalil features three beautifully appointed private chambers named for some of the greatest maisons in the world: Hennessy Richard, Remy Martin and Johnnie Walker. The Private Chambers are for the exclusive use of members only.

The Hennessy Richard room is a luxurious space for cognac lovers, featuring elegant artwork and plush chairs that comfortably seats 12 guests.

The Remy Martin room has a cosy atmosphere warmed by amber-coloured lighting—the perfect environment for tastings with an in-house expert to offer guidance on rare cognacs. The Johnnie Walker room pays tribute to the iconic Scotch whisky brand, decorated with sleek and modern furnishings for a contemporary and refined ambiance.

The First Mobile Connoisseur’s Bar- The Mobile Chamber

As part of making connoisseurship accessible to all, The Chamber also has Malaysia’s firstmobile bar, which will be able to cater to private events for exclusive members at their homes or space of choice.

The Mobile Chamber can be hired by hosts for their selection of drinks, premium bar set up and expert bartenders.
