Spring Afternoon Tea at The LIBRARI

13 January – 31 March 2023

This Lunar New Year, reunite with family and friends while ensconced in The LIBRARI’s beautifully appointed environs, where elements of our city’s colours and flavours are thoughtfully incorporated into both its menu and design—the perfect place to reflect on the traditions and sentiments of the season. Unlike other hotel libraries, The LIBRARI does not only contain books about architecture, design, fashion and Malaysia, but also an array of vintage magazines and books sourced from flea markets and antique stores in the city, providing a small vignette of the history and tastes of the region.

In celebration of the Lunar New Year, The LIBRARI’s Spring Afternoon Tea takes traditional fare to new heights with a heavenly ice-cream pairing specially devised by our very own in-house ice- cream master. This never-before-seen concept is the perfect way to indulge the palate while beating the heat. The Spring Afternoon Tea is served tapas style, with each dish creatively paired with artfully prepared ice-creams served from an elegant trolley. Sample both savoury and sweet ice-cream flavours such as Truffle and Béarnaise Ice-Cream or Rhubarb and Mascarpone Ice-Cream matched beautifully with accompanying treats. The Spring Afternoon Tea at The LIBRARI also comes with a complimentary bottle of Kronenbourg 1664 ROSÉ beer. This unique culinary experience will be available daily from 2:00PM to 5:00PM and is priced at MYR 158 nett per person or MYR 298 nett for two people. For reservations and inquiries, please contact +603 2778 0751 or email [email protected].

Shanghainese Peddlers Gin

10 January – 28 February 2023

In conjunction with the Lunar New Year, The RuMa introduces Peddlers Gin Company—an award- winning craft gin maker from Shanghai. Peddlers is inspired by the Shanghai underground, and is China’s first craft gin. It boasts diversity in its ingredients, infused with notes of Sichuan pepper, Buddha’s hand, lotus flower, Xinjiang almonds, Guangdong liquorice, Chinese cassia and coriander seeds. Each of these organic botanicals has been foraged from unique locations across China to bring to life a hand-crafted spirit, telling a sensorial story of the diversity of flora and fauna found in the East—an homage to China’s rich culinary history. Three varieties of Peddlers will be offered at SEVEN Lobby Bar: Craft Gin, Salted Plum Gin & Barrel Aged Gin.

To celebrate its launch, there will be a battle between two house favourites: our best-selling Malaysian-made Ginfused Asam Boi versus Peddlers Salted Plum—a Chinese take on sloe gin infused with salted plum, mulberry, orange peel and osmanthus, aged in Oloroso sherry barrels.

The battle package of both gins will leave guests to determine the ultimate winner between these two unique spirits. This gin flight is priced at MYR100 nett. For reservations and inquiries, please contact +603 2778 0751 or email [email protected].
