MANDARIN ORIENTAL RITZ, MADRID INVITES GUESTS TO A PHILANTHROPIC EXPERIENCE

October 12, 2022 by StrawberrY Gal

To celebrate a new initiative to support the conservation of Spanish cultural heritage, Mandarin Oriental Ritz, Madrid has launched its Philanthropic Experience Stay accommodation package.

Located in the centre of Madrid’s Golden Triangle of Art and in the Landscape of Light, a UNESCO World Heritage site, this luxury Belle Époque palace offers spectacular accommodation within walking distance of the most important museums in the city. Chef Quique Dacosta directs the hotel’s five gastronomic destinations, including Deessa, recently awarded a Michelin star.

With the aim of bringing art closer to those who love paintings – continuing the conservation of Spanish cultural heritage – Mandarin Oriental Ritz, Madrid is offering the opportunity for guests to become art patrons. Guests will be able to enjoy an exclusive insider’s experience of the prestigious world-renowned Museo Nacional Thyssen-Bornemisza. The project’s purpose is to lead the restoration of an iconic masterpiece in the museum’s permanent collection: “Chinese Porcelain with Flowers” painted in 1640 by Jacques Linard.

Greg Liddell, General Manager of Mandarin Oriental Ritz, Madrid, explains: “Supporting art has been one of our priorities since we reopened our doors a year ago. We are tremendously excited about this project and eager to share this opportunity with all those who love art and culture, hand in hand with one of the best art galleries in the world.”

The Philanthropic Experience Stay is priced from EUR1,200 per night, and includes:

❤️full daily American breakfast, served in the privacy of the guest’s room or in the hotel’s restaurant

❤️a private visit, including a guided tour of one hour, to the museum’s collection called “A walk among flowers”, available Tuesdays to Sundays from 10am to 1pm; booking is required 48 hours ahead

❤️the chance to become a patron by sponsoring the restoration of “Chinese Porcelain with Flowers”

❤️additional benefits when you log in to or join Fans of M.O.
