The Peranakan Afternoon Tea @ Lady Yi’s Tea House, Four Points By Sheraton Chinatown!

September 11, 2022 by StrawberrY Gal

There is always something unique from Four Point Sheraton Chinatown. Four Point Sheraton Chinatown offers you more than just a normal afternoon tea and one will say yes to come back for more.

Located at their signature Lady Yi’s Tea House, one definitely can enjoy the awesome 3 tier afternoon tea fare with the peranakan touch with it. Started off your Peranakan Affairs now with their savoury bites where they have their savoury selection from their selection. This includes the Prawn & Mackarel and Chicken Lo Bak. Each of the items is beautifully curated by the unique flavours with the Peranakan touch with it.

Asides from that, one can also savour their lovely sandwiches that is where you can have the uniquely prepared sandwich sech as the Cincalok Egg Sandwich and Otak otak sandwich.

As for desserts. they come with wide variety of delicious and unique desserts. We had the Red Bean Sesame Ball, Ginger Soya Milk Tea, Pandan Ko Swee, Apam berkuah and the pineapple tart. The desserts choices is indeed unique and one of a kind that one should try.

Don’t miss trying their scones. They come with the Haw flakes and Plain Scores. They are side with the Kaya Jam, Azuki Bean Butter, and the Devonshire Clotted Cream.

As for tea, we are being recommended with their Lady Yi’s signature Blend 11 Treasures The tea reminiscent of the idyllic afternoon tea Lady Yi spent with her beloved grandmother this melange of chamomile and rare green rooibos is beautifully blended with delicate lavender flowers and accented with floral notes of rosehips and peach with a hint of spice of warm lemongrass. An alluring elixir to delight and surprise the senses.

Another must try,Bai Mudan is also must try here.  This is also known as White Peony and it is popular style of white tea made of young tea leaves and silvery unopened leaf buds. They are grown in the Fujian Province of China, and this tea has a sophicated mouthfeel with a slightly stronger body than Silver Needles. A gentle and slow air-dry withering process results in a brilliant, amber infusion with a honey-like viscosity and mild flavour that pairs well with food.

Overall, the food is amazingly good and delicious. They are priced at RM 98+ per person and RM 168+ for 2 persons.
