Hyatt Regency Hong Kong, Tsim Sha Tsui Partners with Korea Agro-Fisheries & Food Trade Corporation To Present Korean Shine Muscat Afternoon Tea

September 2, 2022 by StrawberrY Gal

Embrace the fall season with a fruity afternoon tea at Hyatt Regency Hong Kong, Tsim Sha Tsui as Cafe partners with Korea Agro-Fisheries & Food Trade Corporation (aT) to present the seasonal Korean Shine Muscat Afternoon Tea, allowing guests to immerse themselves in refreshing sweetness this autumn.

Korean Shine Muscat Afternoon Tea at Cafe

Spend a relaxing afternoon indulging in the fascinating, limited-time afternoon tea at Café available from September to October that showcases an indulgent combination of sweet and savoury items using the seasonal Korean Shine Muscat.

Korea Agro-Fisheries & Food Trade Corporation (aT) is a wholly government-invested enterprise responsible for agricultural marketing services and international trade. It has established a foundation for the development of the Korean food industry through the support of food companies, the systematization of food industry information.

The star of the menu – the Korean Princess of Shine Muscat® is the top ranked grape among the three shine muscat categories in Gyeongsangbuk-do, a well-known plantation region of premium shine muscat in Korea. The grapes are cultivated using strict quality control methods. In order for the grapes to grow large, delicious and be of the highest quality, the thinning of shine muscat by growers is essential. Less attractive grapes are removed so that the remaining ones can grow freely, obtaining a desirable shape and maximum nutrients. The process involves a huge amount of time and effort. To provide a stable environment and to minimise the use of pesticides, each bunch is cultivated in a bag to prevent overheating, pest infestation and pollutants. Each yellow-green grape weighs around 16 grams, which is 20% heavier than regular grapes. The Korean Shine Muscat® Princes is round, fluffy, crispy and richly sweet, averaging a Brix value of 16 degrees or higher.

On the afternoon tea menu, you will find a tempting array of sweet treats, including Korean Shine Muscat tart. This beautiful tart has a base of fragrant cream and is adorned with seedless grape halves. With its smooth texture and remarkable grape flavour, Korean Shine Muscat panna cotta is a refreshing treat to indulge in. Filled with light cream and shine muscat flesh, Korean Shine Muscat almond nut croissant is a mouth-watering treat to delight your palate. Other irresistible treats include Caramel chocolate and pear dome, Hazelnut and chestnut Swiss roll and Chilled Korean Shine Muscat if you want to enjoy the grapes on their own.

You can also discover savoury nibbles on the tray. In the Duck liver rillettes with Korean Shine Muscat lemon chutney on toasted sour dough, the combination of grapes and the traditional decadent French spread creates tantalizing flavours to tempt your taste buds. Enjoy traditional steamed buns and delicious Asian flavours with Gua Bao with baked pork belly and coriander, which is made with a fluffy bun stuffed with tender pork belly. Do not forget about the Portobello mushroom quiche with garden cress, Citrus cured salmon with crème fraiche and lemon thyme soft bun and the freshly baked Raisin Scone for your enjoyment.

For beverages, each guest can choose Korean Shine Muscat soda or Korean Shine Muscat and peach juice

The Korean Shine Muscat Afternoon Tea is priced at HK$518 for two persons and is available at Cafe from 1 September to 31 October 2022 (Monday to Saturday, except public holidays) from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM. A limited number of sets is available each day. The tea set is available for takeaway as well
