For those who are looking for local mooncakes, Guan Heong Biscuit Shop is one of the musts to go for. Originated from Ipoh, Guan Heong Biscuit is having over 100 years of history bringing you a handmade biscuits.

About Guan Heong

Guan Heong was founded in 1918 as the FIRST HANDMADE BISCUIT SHOP in Ipoh New Town with heritage of 100 years.  Taken from Hokkien terms, the name Guan Heong signifies a passion to serve the original, high-quality taste of traditional pastry to his customers. By keeping heritage as its true north, Guan Heong has been able to deliver the same exquisite taste for its renowned Salted Tau Sar Pheah.

The bakery is moving with the times, introducing modern pastries to adapt to the changing consumer preference — Meat Floss Biscuit, Meat Floss with Salted Egg Biscuit, Dried Meat Biscuit and Hawaiian Biscuit — the list goes on. In June 2017, Guan Heong was recognised as the Top 50 World Street Food Award Winner at the World Street Food Congress at Manila, Philippines.

And this year, they comes up with wide choices of mooncake where you from their 11 selections. In here, you can find the choices from the Golden Emerald Mooncake, Shanghai Mooncake, Mixed Nuts Mooncake, Red Bean Mooncake, White Lotus Mooncake, Pure Lotus Mooncake, Single Yolk BBQ Mooncake, Hawaiian Nuts Mooncake, Traditional Hokkien Mooncake and more.

Single Yolk BBQ Mooncake

One must try is their Single Yolk BBQ Mooncake. The mooncake is impressively delicious and they come up with the delicious bbq chips which is flvaourful. They are perfectly an indulgence where you must not missed it and it comes with the fragrant salted eggyolk. Delicious!

 Onde Onde Mooncake

The Onde Onde Mooncake is another unique mooncake where they are packed with the flavors of onde onde. Not over sweet, the onde onde mooncake is indeed an indulgence for mooncake lovers and the mooncake is packed with nuts too. Worth it.

Asides from that, for those who are looking for a bigger mooncake, they have the huge 10-inch mooncake which is packed with the lotus base and also 7 egg yolk in it.  They are indeed deliciously done and it needs to pre-order 2-3 working days ahead
