Pan Pacific Hotels Group Launches Its Next Sustainability Icon in Malaysia with PARKROYAL COLLECTION Kuala Lumpur and Pan Pacific Serviced Suites Kuala Lumpur

November 9, 2021 by StrawberrY Gal

Pan Pacific Hotels Group is taking the iconic biophilia of its PARKROYAL COLLECTION hotels beyond the shores of Singapore with the launch of PARKROYAL COLLECTION Kuala Lumpur in June 2022. This will be followed by the opening of Pan Pacific Serviced Suites Kuala Lumpur in October 2022, yet another first with the Group’s signature Pan Pacific flag in Malaysia.

Located in the heart of Bukit Bintang, both properties will open in a mixed-use complex owned by the Singapore-listed UOL Group Limited, Pan Pacific Hotels Group’s parent company and one of Asia’s most established hotel and property companies with a portfolio of investment and development properties.

Following the successful launch of Pan Pacific Hotels Group’s PARKROYAL COLLECTION brand in January 2020, the 535-room PARKROYAL COLLECTION Kuala Lumpur will inject a new breath of eco-chic living in the beating heart of Bukit Bintang.

With a lush green façade of 78 sky planters on its frontage and roof terraces showcasing 13,000 square feet of plants and trees, its refreshing design welcomes guests into a world of biophilia, connecting them to the space and with each other. In tandem with the PARKROYAL COLLECTION brand’s design for sustainability, the hotel will also feature sustainable operations such as motion sensors across public areas and rooms, a food waste digester, no single-use plastics, and an urban farm. Like its sister properties in Singapore, it will also have a holistic wellness floor comprising a St Gregory Spa, a modern gymnasium and fitness studio, as well as a pool.

Come October 2022, the complex will welcome 210 well-appointed luxury suites with Pan Pacific Serviced Suites Kuala Lumpur, offering long-staying guests the conveniences of the city coupled with the sincere and gracious service of Pan Pacific

Heading PARKROYAL COLLECTION Kuala Lumpur and Pan Pacific Serviced Suites Kuala Lumpur is Cristian Nannucci, newly appointed Complex General Manager.

A 30-year hospitality veteran, with experience in several hotel groups, Cristian held a number of positions across three continents in Europe, Asia and Middle East with working experiences in City Hotels, Beach Resorts, Multi-Integrated Luxury and Boutique Hospitality Business Models. With a background in Rooms Operations and Sales & Marketing, Cristian is a seasoned hotelier specialising in Food & Beverage and business restructuring. He most recently served as General Manager of Shangri-La Mactan Resort and SPA in Cebu, the Philippines.

He brings 10 years of industry experience within Malaysia, leading the formulation and implementation of strategies to deliver product and service excellence. Cristian will continue his responsibility as the Complex General Manager and in his new role, he is tasked to grow the Malaysian business and lead the team dedicated to providing gracious and dependable hospitality that will bring out the best in people at every occasion.

Neo Soon Hup, Chief Operating Officer, Pan Pacific Hotels Group, said, “As we look towards the gradual recovery of travel on the horizon, Pan Pacific Hotels Group is confident in our pipeline in one of Asia’s key gateway cities, Kuala Lumpur. PARKROYAL COLLECTION Kuala Lumpur and Pan Pacific Serviced Suites Kuala Lumpur will take the level of sustainable and sophisticated hospitality to new heights right in the heart of the city’s business and entertainment district in Bukit Bintang.”

He added, “Cristian brought with him invaluable experience which will contribute to delivering our key commercial goals, aligned with our strong belief in sustainable hospitality and sincerity in service.”

Besides welcoming Cristian to the Pan Pacific Hotels Group family, PARKROYAL COLLECTION Kuala Lumpur and Pan Pacific Serviced Suites Kuala Lumpur also named Jesslynn Ng as Director of Marketing & Communications. She will be responsible for the brand management, marketing and media strategy, social media, strategic partnerships, as well as communications and brand experience initiatives of the two properties. Prior to joining the Pan Pacific Hotels Group, she served as Assistant Director of Marketing & Communications in the hospitality industry. Jesslynn reports directly to Cristian.
