Motorola is Back With The Launch of The e40 and Edge 20 Pro in Malaysia

November 23, 2021 by StrawberrY Gal

Today, Motorola unveils the latest addition to its smartphone family – Motorola Edge 20 Pro and Motorola e40, built for a whole new group of thinkers, innovators, and change-makers. The Motorola e40 is now available in Malaysia at a starting price of RM599 while the Motorola Edge 20 Pro will be coming soon with the expected starting price of RM2,499.

With the release of these competitive devices, Motorola is coming back into the smartphone game to democratize cutting-edge technology and sharing disruptive innovation, and empower Malaysians in their daily lives.

To celebrate the launch of the brand new smartphones, Motorola is running some awesome promotions in Lenovo Exclusive Stores, and Lenovo’s Official Store on Shopee and Lazada throughout the month of November. From 8 November to 31 December 2021, customers can get also a RM50 discount voucher applicable on their purchase of a brand-new Motorola e40 in Carbon Gray[1].

Never stop exploring with Motorola e40

Aimed at giving maximum value to consumers in the affordable segment, the Motorola e40 comes with segment leading 90Hz refresh rate and a differentiated punch hole design on its large 6.5” IPS LCD, HD+ display that takes immersive entertainment for consumers to a whole new level.

Further, the 48MP triple camera system is made for any moment, in any light, and from any angle. A 48 MP sensor with Quad Pixel technology gives you 4x better low light sensitivity for sharper, more vibrant photos in any light. The depth sensor works with the main camera to blur the background for professional-looking portraits. The Motorola e40 also features a dedicated Macro Vision camera brings you 4x closer to your subject, so you see the tiny details you’d otherwise miss using a standard lens.

To back users up throughout the day, the Motorola e40 packs a massive 5000mAh battery that’s lasts up to 40 hours on a single charge and a custom built, T700 octa-core chipset. The Motorola e40 also comes with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage, expandable up to 1TB using microSD card. Users can enjoy their favourite content, experience lag-free gaming and multitask seamlessly for a perfect entertainment experience and exceptional performance for its segment.

Never stop creating with Motorola Edge 20 Pro

The Motorola Edge 20 Pro delivers a new 108 MP ultra-high resolution main camera that produces outstanding quality of 1/1.52” optical format using the Ultra Pixel technology, improving light sensitivity by 9x and resulting in better low light performance. The ultrawide-angle lens with built-in Macro Vision allows users to capture 4x more of any scene into one frame and can zoom up to 5x closer to the subject for extreme close-ups such as capturing photos of food, arts, and crafts, nature, and more.

The third camera is Motorola’s first-ever periscope-style telephoto lens which bends the light 90-degrees for superior clarity from 5x the distance. Motorola pushes technology capabilities further by introducing 50x Super Zoom, capturing details from incredible distances. Not forgetting about video, the Motorola Edge 20 Pro can record in an incredible 8K resolution, a first for a Motorola smartphone.

Audio Zoom on the Motorola Edge 20 Pro uses advanced microphones to capture the sound of the video subject while filtering out ambient noise and voices. Users can now take videos with only the intended audio. Motorola is also introducing Super Slow Slow Motion. It records 960 high-definition frames per second, so users can see the details their eyes could miss at normal speed.

With most users relying on their smartphones as their first source for entertainment, the Motorola Edge 20 Pro comes with a big 6.7″ Max Vision display with OLED technology for a crystal-clear viewing experience. This display offers 10-bit color, achieving the DCI-P3 color space and meeting HDR10+ standards. For the first time ever, Motorola is offering a 144Hz refresh rate, the highest refresh rate available on mainstream smartphones.

Motorola Edge 20 Pro is the latest device that will prepare more Malaysians for 5G, and the next generation speed of Wi-Fi 6.1 The ultra-fast Snapdragon® 870 5G Mobile Platform gives users the power they need. With a choice of 128 or 256 GB of built-in storage, there is a lot of room for photos, movies, games, and music.2,3 Topped with 12 GB of the latest generation memory, user’s apps and information can stay ready in the background, so everything runs smoothly.

Best of all, users can power through 30 hours on 5G without having to recharge. The TurboPower™ 30 gives users 9 hours of power in just 10 minutes of charging.

Software innovations built with you in mind

Motorola is committed to provide consumers with the most pure version of Android 11™ OS11. With no clunky software skins, no duplicate apps – just near-stock Android 11™. Instead of duplicating the great things Google does with Android™, Motorola has chosen to build upon it with unique ways to enhance the mobile experience through My UX.

My UX includes all the great moto experiences, Moto-specific apps, and customizations people have come to know and love. This includes unique Gestures like Quick Capture, Three Finger Screenshot, and Pick Up to Silence. Users can also select any of the 20,000 customizations of icon shapes, color schemes, and display font to create a look that is one in a million.

Ready For amplifies everything the phone is capable of, and with new wireless connection and PC compatibility, the possibilities are endless. With the new wireless connection capabilities, it’s now easier than ever for users to move their phone’s games to the big screen, feel like they are right in the room during video calls, and use their apps on a desktop display. Plus, with the new Ready For: PC functionality, users can access their phone apps and PC files all on the same screen by simply connecting wirelessly and opening up Ready For.
