Samsung Galaxy Buds 2 : Our Review

October 13, 2021 by StrawberrY Gal

Samsung had release the Galaxy Buds Pro when they release their Galaxy S21 earlier this year. And this time, they comes up with the brand NEW Galaxy Buds 2 which is launched alongside with the Galaxy Z Fold3 and Z Flip 3,

And this time, the Galaxy Buds 2 is here and is time to explore them now! And here is our review after we have use them for a week.

Colours

They comes in 4 choices of colours which includes Lavender, Graphite, Olive and White

Design

The Buds 2 is a mix of their choices of Buds, from the Galaxy Buds, Galaxy Burs Pro Plus, Galaxy Buds Pro, and the Galaxy Buds Live.  Comparable to all, the Galaxy Buds Pro comes with the comfortable fit and affordable price of the Buds Plus, the dual-driver array and noise-canceling technology of the Buds Pro, and the clean lines and fun colorways of the bean-shaped Buds Live.

As for the case, it comes with the glossy exterior. For those who love some glossy feel, this is indeed a choice to go for. The colors are pretty nice and I am truly in love with their lavender buds for sure.

The size for the ear is slightly smaller which is 15% smaller in size and 20% lighter comparable to Buds Plus and Buds Pro. The earbuds are pretty good and it is really nice and fit well to the ears. The exterior of the buds serves as the touchpad for the controlling playback .

There are easy to setup and use where just tap to play/pause, double tap for skip and triple tap for the back function ( after we try to switch from one effect to another effect). They are so easy to use and we really enjoyed the convenience of it. For those who want to customize their buds, you can do so with the Galaxy Wearable app for the enhanced performance.

The Sound Quality and Performance

Well, it is THE MUST thing to know when you get your buds. Samsung debuted its first pair with dual drivers in the still-awesome Buds Pro, and it’s nice to see it in the Buds2. They do not have the same clarity or openness as on the more expensive Buds Pro but the bass response is better than other buds at this price. We tried to listen to many different songs with it and the sound is underlying perfectly in the mid and high range.

Another thing to shout about is their Active noise canceling function which does a perfect job too. The two microphones detect ambient noise while Active Noise Canceling blocks unwanted sound. Background noise can be reduced up to 98% to keep you fully immersed in your music, games, audio books, and your favorite podcasts.

They are also built with the Sound Customization where each of your every audio experience is well-tailored to your taste with Galaxy Buds2. With the six different equalizer settings to choose from, you’ll find your own pitch perfect, vibrant sound that keeps you immersed.

Not just that, they come with the Smooth Syncing where With Auto Switch, moving between your Galaxy devices is easier than ever. Go from watching a movie on your tablet to playing music on the Galaxy Watch4, all hands free. Galaxy Watch4 also supports Quick Buds Control, helping you turn ANC on or off, or check battery life right from your wrist. Isn’t that Smart and Convenient?

For their connectivity, we are indeed very pleased as we did not have much issues on the connectivity as they are well equipped with the Bluetooth 5.2 which is perfect for quick connection and performance.

Battery Life

Battery Life is another factor when choosing your buds. The Galaxy Buds2 able to keep you connected  up to 5 hours of play time with ANC on while a total of 20 hours of playtime when charged using the case.  And of course, it is also much dependent how much you are using them.

Well, for Buds2; you can also have them charge with the wireless charging where they are compatible Qi charger. Asides from that, you can use wireless charging as well as USB- C charging too. Unfortunately, they did not comes with the fast charging but the charging speed are pretty decent and good.

Overall Experience

Galaxy Buds2 works perfectly well with the  Samsung Galaxy smartphones, tablets, and other Android devices. Our overall experience was a great one with the Galaxy Buds 2 and it is simply a nice buds to go with not just perfect but also stylish too.
