Celebrate Hari Raya with Swe-eid Blockbuster Treats

 Hot on the heels of launching their iconic collaboration with Sanrio staring My Melody and Little Twin Stars, Crème De La Crème (CDLC) is delighted to announce their foray into the entertainment streaming industry with its latest collaboration with Asia’s hottest entertainment online streaming company – iQiyi. 

 

This momentous collaboration with iQiyi will see the debut of a special set of petits gâteaux conceptualized by the creative teams of both iQiyi and CDLC, inspired by the intensity of the storylines and the vast array of emotions from the multi-layered plot twists of iQiyi’s latest mega-blockbuster Malay dramas – ‘Sabarlah Duhai Hati’ and ‘Cukup Derita Itu’. 

 

The freshly aired ‘Sabarlah Duhai Hati’ stars high-profile lead actors Saharul Ridzwan and Amyra Rosli; delves into the life story of a young girl just past her teen-hood who rebels against the reality of being an elder sister to her only sibling – a brother with a 20-year age gap. The story intensifies with the sudden death of their parents, leaving her as the sole caretaker of her brother. Expect multiple plot twists that will keep you glued to your screens.  

The soon-to-be-aired ‘Cukup Derita Itu’ (debuts on 6 May), features a popular cast that include

Cha Cha Maembong, Ruhainies & Hisyam Hamid. This high intense drama revolves around a pair of twins raised by their aunt where one is treated like a princess and the other, as a slave. The plot thickens when the love of the fortunate twin has a change of heart and pursues the other twin.  

Both dramas are timed to coincide with the month of Ramadan and the celebration of Hari Raya. 

Inspired by the intensity of the storylines and the vast array of emotions from the multi-layered plot twists, CDLC & iQiyi are proud to present:

Petits Gâteaux: Swe-eid Kuihs 

Mirroring the array of emotions of the two blockbuster dramas, ‘Swe-eid Kuihs’ consists of an array of 5 different ‘Kuihs’ that will take you on an emotional and intense gastronomy experience as you indulge in and discover the various layers of each ‘Kuih’ taste profile. And the plot twist here? These ‘Kuihs’ are intricately handcrafted to perfectly look like the traditional ‘kuihs’ that we are all so familiar with but are in fact, made from an array of 100% natural ice cream flavours instead of flour!  

Flavour Profile of each Kuih: 

Kuih Bangkit: a fragrant and fruity combination of rose ice cream and lychee sorbet with white chocolate. 

Kuih Puteri Ayu: a refreshing composition of organic pandan kaya ice cream, young coconut ice cream and lemongrass sorbet. 

Kuih Talam: a blissful marriage of sweet corn ice cream, fresh coconut ice cream and fragrantly roasted peanuts.  

Kuih Kosui: a delicious delight of Japanese purple sweet potato ice cream complemented with charred coconut ice cream, gula melaka coconut jam and desiccated coconut.  

Onde-onde: expect an explosion of gula melaka as you bite into this delicious ball of organic pandan kaya ice cream, coconut and balanced with a dash of ginger sorbet.
