Hilton Kuala Lumpur Presents “Bazaar Abang Jaguh” Buffet Dinner this Fasting Season

April 14, 2021 by StrawberrY Gal

Hilton Kuala Lumpur welcomes guests to break their fast at its all-day dining restaurant, Vasco’s, with a buffet dinner centred on iconic bazaar delicacies.

This buffet dinner is part of the nationwide “Chup! Makan Dulu” promotion by Hilton hotels in Malaysia. A classic Malaysian slang, “Chup” is synonymous to the word “pause” and is often used to interject someone in a playful and friendly manner. Through this campaign, the brand wishes to remind Malaysians to take a break from their hectic day-to-day and enjoy quality time with their loved ones over a hearty meal at Hilton.

Headed by a team of experienced chefs who nicknamed themselves Abang Jaguh, each chef will showcase their specialty at the respective stations – Hirup-hirup Sup Berapi Abang Adan, Cedok-cedok Abang Jham, Salai-salai Abang Karim, Celup-celup Abang Syam, Golek-golek Abang Sharil and Manis-manis Rasa Abang Din. The highlights they bring include Tulang Rusuk, Rendang Tok Daging Rusa, Ketupat Palas, Itik Salai, Kambing Bakar Kukus Berempah and Baklava. On top of that, guests will also be treated to various local and international flavours including Chinese, Indian, Thai and European.

In between rounds, guests can also pick up a trick or two from the special Pok Din Rambai presentation, where Cucur Jawa Gula Melaka will be prepared live; or catch the dainty cart ferrying an assortment of Arabic sweets, tea and petit fours with stuffed dates to get a sample from.

The “Bazaar Abang Jaguh” buffet dinner runs from 13 April – 11 May 2021, 6.30pm – 10.30pm daily. It’s priced at RM188 nett per adult and RM100 nett per child aged 6 to 11. A Buy-1-Free-1 early bird promotion is available for bookings made from 1 – 12 April 2021 on www.takeus-home.com and TABLEAPP with full payment.

For those planning to organise corporate dinners or host a sizeable number of guests, the hotel has a few packages that cater to groups. Held in a private meeting room, these group dinners will also feature items from the regular “Bazaar Abang Jaguh” spread, but with a special option to add on a full-sized marinated steam-baked lamb at RM2,000 nett. This group package is available from 12 April – 12 May 2021, 6.00pm – 9.00pm, priced from RM160 nett per person with a minimum requirement of 30 guests.

Takeaways are also available for guests who prefer to dine in the comfort of their home or office. The sets come with starters, main courses and desserts with interesting items such as Asam Pedas Pari, Urap Pegaga and Udang Harimau Masak Ros. Small families can opt for the RM80 set, with a minimum order of 2 sets required. While for larger groups, it’s priced from RM50 per bento, with a minimum order of 10 boxes required.

In-house guests and partner credit card holders get to enjoy 20% off for buffet dinner and 10% off for Takeaways on their bill respectively.
