“Sand-sational Deals” amidst wide-open spaces at Desaru Coast

October 1, 2020 by StrawberrY Gal

This season, visitors to Johor Desaru Coast, Malaysia’s newest and hippest family holiday destination, are in for more than they bargained for. Besides enjoying wide open spaces spanning some 3,900 acres along 17 kilometres of unspoiled beachfront – far from the madding crowd – they can also benefit from some truly “Sand-sational Deals” offered by key properties located within the destination.

One of them is Hard Rock Hotel Desaru Coast, which is offering a 2D1N package in a Superior Room from RM689 (additional RM100 for weekend nights) with breakfast for two adults and one child (aged 3 – 11 years). To ensure visitors enjoy their stay like true rock stars, the package also includes All-Terrain Vehicle (ATV) ride passes and a choice of either tickets to Adventure Waterpark – one of the biggest waterparks in the world – or a tour of the famed Desaru Fruit Farm.

Meanwhile, The Westin Desaru Coast Resort is also offering a 2D1N package deal for two adults and one child, with breakfast in a Deluxe Room, at RM769. The package will also include several activities, which includes the choice of an ATV ride or a Banana Boat ride. Visitors taking advantage of this package deal will also have the additional choice of either the Desaru Fruit Farm tour or tickets to Adventure Waterpark.

Additionally, every adult entering Adventure Waterpark will only need to pay a child’s admission of RM39 for MyKad holders (RM 49 for non-MyKad holders) giving even more opportunity for visitors to unleash the kid in them. (Normal adult admission rates for visitors above 12 years of age are priced at RM151 and RM94 for non-MyKad and MyKad holders respectively.)

“Our Sand-sational Deals promotion extends an exciting chance for Malaysians to enjoy a fun-filled staycation at Desaru Coast Destination Resort with a valid travel period until 17 December 2020. Here at our destination, guests can enjoy the wide-open spaces along our 17-km coastline with curated activities that observe social-distancing for ease of mind. Our Sand-sational Deals are formulated for Malaysian travellers based on the encouraging response that we received recently after the domestic tourism space was opened up at Desaru Coast,” said Hoe Teck Wei, Head of Sales and Marketing of Desaru Development Holdings One Sdn Bhd.

“In addition to the holiday deals, we are also offering Malaysians from all walks of life an opportunity to embrace their inner-child, which is inherent in all of us, while having fun in the process. This is why we’re offering all adults, regardless of age, the opportunity to experience what it’s like to be a child again. Not only will they save almost 60 per cent on their admission rates, but more importantly, they will get the opportunity to embrace their inner child by experiencing the plethora of fun attractions and activities that await them at Adventure Waterpark,” he added further.

Adventure Waterpark offers something for everyone – not only the young ones but those young once! The park, which has in recent times seen a growing number of visitors from all over the country, is set against the backdrop of a traditional Malaysian fishing village, in which visitors can immerse themselves in a unique range of rides and attractions, some of which cannot be found anywhere else in the country, such as the region’s first water coaster.

Visitors to Adventure Waterpark can truly look forward to experiencing a whale of a time exploring the park’s five splash-tacular zones, each offering its unique set of attraction. The Penawar Falls, for instance, greets visitors upon entry, with attractions such as the Swinging Ship and the Surf Wall – a high-energy surf simulator. Just a short distance away is the Penawar River, which will take visitors back to lazy afternoons with its long, floating looping river ride through lushly landscaped riverbanks and riverside fishing-village scenes. Meanwhile, those looking to unleash their inner sense of action and adventure can jump on the Wild Whirl, Super Twister, Riptide and The Tempest rides which offer an adrenaline-infusing experience and tons of mirth and laughter!

Deeper into the park, the Shipwreck Reef is home to the Kraken’s Revenge, a combination of a roller coaster and splashing flume ride that takes thrill seekers 30 metres above the ground in rolling “boats” before swooping and spinning through a full 360-degree horizontal loop. To catch their breath, guests can relax in luxury and enjoy the Beachside Cabanas, or lounge along the 170-metre long sandy shoreline of the Tidal Wave Beach.

Finally, Kids Ahoy! offers a dedicated children’s zone with three separate age-appropriate play areas filled with water play equipment with a combination of 13 different water slides.  Toddlers, young children, teens, and even their parents can truly live out their childhood dreams here with rides which include the Li’l Warrior’s Hideout, Scallywags and Starfish Splash.

To make visitors’ experience a safe and enjoyable one, Desaru Coast has also taken every precaution and implemented Standard Operating Procedures to ensure a secure and socially distanced experience. In light of this, visitors are highly encouraged to make early bookings to avoid disappointment.

All these deals at Hard Rock Hotel Desaru Coast, The Westin Desaru Coast Resort and Adventure Waterpark are available for travel until 17 December 2020. For more information or to make bookings, head on over to www.desarucoast.com, call or Whatsapp +6019 791 2217 or e-mail [email protected].
