More than 40 Years of Dim Sum Traditions in Marco Polo Restaurant

September 12, 2020 by StrawberrY Gal

Weekends is always room for dim sum. And this time, we visited the talk-about dim sum place in town which is the Marco Polo Restaurant.  Marco Polo Chinese Cuisine was founded in January 1980 by Dato’ Lim Foo Yong, who brought into it his long years of hands-on experience as hotelier and restaurateur.

And the restaurant brings you with the modern touch and the comfortable ambiance which is worth the visit where one can enjoy a nice and delicious Chinese Menu. Walking to the restaurant, they are really elegant and beautiful with the carpeted flooring, high ceiling and beautiful chandeliers.

And for this time, we are there to enjoy their dim sum selections which is available from 11.00 am to 2.30 pm daily. In here, one can enjoy wide variety of dim sum which includes Shrimp Dumpling, Siew Mai, Scallop Dumpling, Pacific Clam Dumpling, and many more.

Don’t miss their Shanghai “Xiao Loong Bao” which is heavenly. I love how the xiao long bao is done with the thin translucent skin with the sweet and savoury meat in it.

Some of the must to go for includes the “ Cha Siu” bun, Fresh Fish Paste, Sea Asparagus Roll, Pacific Clam Dumpling , Steamed Custard Bun to name a few.

And one of the highlights is the Shark’s Fin Dumpling in Superior Soup (RM 18). The gracious and huge dumplings soaked in their homemade superior soup. The dumpling is superbly good with chunks of crab meat in it.

For fried items, you can also enjoy the Mango Prawn Rolls, Deep Fried Bean Sheet With Prawn, Salad Prawn Dumpling, Fried Carrot Cake, “Hum Sui Kok”, Deep Fried Shrimp Ball, Deep Fried Shrimp Paste and many more.

Never miss out their cheong fan and congee too. They do serves a delight cheong fan and congee which is double thumbs up.
