Le Petit Chef returns to elevate an average dining to a grand theatrical experience

September 2, 2020 by StrawberrY Gal

It is one of the MUST To go journey with the Le Petite Chef. The 90 minutes Journey dining experience will definitely wow you for sure. And this time, one can experience the best of 3D mapping and sensational cuisines served to patrons as they witness a multisensory wonderment coming to life while remaining seated.

Come August 1, 2020, Grand Hyatt Kuala Lumpur will be the new home to Le Petit Chef’s groundbreaking visual production that has taken the internet by storm since 2015. Taking theatrical dining to a whole new level, Le Petit Chef features the world’s smallest chef of French descent who comes alive from the virtual realm for an animated whimsical performance right on the dining table. The little chef, who is hardly the size of one’s palm, will guide patrons to embark on a journey across Asia through 90 minutes of avant-garde 3D mapping performance while patrons are being served tantalizing cuisines from the continent at the same time. The journey entails footsteps of the legendary Venetian merchant and writer from an ancient time, Marco Polo, who made diverse discoveries in Asia while traversing the Silk Road. Keeping patrons entertained as they feast, this grand combination will have them glued to their seats for a firsthand experience that is truly immersive for the eyes and taste buds.

Orchestrated with a live presence of a host for interactive engagement and to denote the cultures of each journeyed country, one would describe the dining as a thrilling experience close to magic given how technology does wonders to heighten the essential five senses of sight, taste, smell, hearing and touch. Our Director of Food & Beverage, Kai Eick, expresses, “I have heard of Le Petit Chef’s accomplishments before our partnership but never would have imagined that we would represent the first hotel in Malaysia to feature this amazing theatrical dining experience. It is truly a great opportunity for us to invite guests to embrace this unique dinner show as something to look forward to. It simultaneously allows us to showcase the best of our culinary qualities and hospitality.”

As we leave the theatrics to the power of projectors and the talented team of Le Petit Chef, Grand Hyatt Kuala Lumpur proudly presents our Italian food connoisseur, Executive Sous Chef Matteo Fracalossi, and his brigade of culinary experts who play the quintessential role in this production to indulge the patrons’ palates. “It is an honour for me to be part of this remarkable dining journey since it is not just our first time  as a hotel to host Le Petit Chef, but it is also my first time to lead a culinary production with such exclusivity together with our capable chefs.

We are excited to present the top-notch quality of our sustainable and carefully selected ingredients that we have explored beforehand to ensure the essence of our food fuses beautifully to the dinner story,” says Matteo Fracalossi, Executive Sous Chef. The exquisitely curated 6- course menu being aligned to the animated journey will be the element of surprise for patrons that is bound to beckon a jaw-dropping moment in every course served.

2Spicy Entertainment GmbH CEO, Dr Fabian Schmitz shares, “We are seeing amazing response to Le Petit Chef globally after the COVID-19 lockdown. People seem excited to have a fun and entertaining dining experience. We were pleasantly surprised with strong sales in all locations we have opened in.” Le Petit

Chef’s return to Kuala Lumpur will be an exciting anticipation for dining enthusiasts, while it will be a grand memento for those who have met the little chef before, as the show will now be solely housed in the Grand Residence, a classically unique venue at Grand Hyatt Kuala Lumpur.

Given the limited seating of only 28 patrons per nightly session, be the first to save the best seats in the house for Le Petit Chef when the star makes his exclusive debut on August 1, 2020 with us.
