The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf Serves Up Summer with a Proudly Malaysian Twist!

August 13, 2020 By StrawberrY Gal - Food News Leave a Comment

Malaysians have a reputation for being passionate about food, and national favourites are celebrated and fiercely defended. With Merdeka fast approaching, these Malaysian-inspired offerings from The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf® (CB&TL) might just prompt a fresh wave of national pride!

Taking centre stage is the bright and tangy combination of hibiscus and mint in Hibiscus Mint Cold Brew Sweet Tea (small RM13.55, regular RM14.65) and Sparkling Hibiscus Mint Cold Brew Tea (small RM14, regular RM15.05).

Pair these bright and refreshing beverages with the all-new Kaya Swirl (RM8.50), a tribute to Malaysia’s favourite ‘coconut jam’. This delicate brioche, baked to golden perfection, conceals a luscious kaya filling for a decadent burst of flavour with every mouthful!

To make a meal of it, the Kaya Swirl or The Straits cake (RM12.95 per slice, RM129.30 for a whole cake) are the perfect sweet finish to accompany current Malaysian-inspired offerings such as the Chicken Satay Sandwich (RM20.50) and the Sambal Bilis Bagel (RM9.50).

“It’s a wonderful time to celebrate local flavours and we hope our latest menu inspires you to take a moment and reflect on everything that makes Malaysia special. Join us in wishing Malaysia a happy 63rd Merdeka Day,” said Fiona Rodrigues, Director of Marketing & Development, The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf® Malaysia.

In addition, don’t forget to try the Melon Ice Blended® beverage (small RM16, regular RM17.50), a delicious concoction of sweet melons and vanilla fused with aromatic, cold brewed Ceylon tea, and the delicate Watermelon Oolong (RM12.50 per pot for dine-in or RM45 for 20 teabags), made with wu-long tea leaves from the northern mountains of Thailand.

Visit your nearest CB&TL outlet now for a slice of Malaysian flavour, the latest merchandise such as the Verona House Blend mug and reusable tumblers in brand-new Pink Daze designs (from RM75-RM148) and these special in-store promotions:

·       A free 12oz Hibiscus Mint or Melon Ice Blended® beverage with every RM100 top-up of the TCB Card, only from 4-11 August

·       A 12oz Cold Brew Sweet Tea or Sparkling Cold Brew Tea for only RM6.30, from 29-31 August and 15-16 September to commemorate Merdeka Day and Malaysia Day, respectively

In addition, from 28 August until 16 September, enjoy these capsule promotions at the online store (www.coffeebean.com.my) or on the official CB&TL Shopee page (https://shopee.com.my/coffeebeanmy_os):
