A GRAND BEGINNING TO AN OPULENT MID-AUTUMN

August 16, 2020 by StrawberrY Gal

Come Mid-Autumn Festival this October, the perennial delicacy, mooncake, will make its yearly debut as the celebratory symbol this festival sees in the Chinese culture. Only this time, a special remark is being made this year as Grand Hyatt Kuala Lumpur’s refined mooncakes are making a comeback after seven years of hiatus.

Customarily, mooncakes are indispensable in the Chinese culture of celebrating Mid-Autumn Festival as mooncake-eating commemorates the quintessence of appreciating the harvest moon. It has been an ancient tradition that began in the Yuan Dynasty whereby this festival comes around on the 15th day of the 8th lunar month every year since.

Exclusively at Grand Hyatt Kuala Lumpur, our traditionally baked mooncakes are making a comeback for the first time this Mid-Autumn after a seven-year hiatus. Imprinted with an intricately tasteful design, our mooncakes are perfect as gift ideas for loved ones and business relations as each of them is encased in an auspicious red box that exudes unpretentious grandeur while it subtly conveys prosperous thoughts and wishes to the receiver. Embrace our classic yet exquisite flavours like Lotus White Single Yolk, Pure Lotus,

Pure Lotus with Double Yolk and Pure Red Bean individually filling our mooncakes to the brim.
Pure Lotus with Double Yolk MYR 55 nett per piece
Lotus White Single Yolk MYR 55 nett per piece
Pure Lotus MYR 43 nett per piece
Pure Red Bean MYR 43 nett per piece

Customize your mooncake gift idea for a grander gesture with our Red Opulent Set. Choose any two of the four flavours available to double the prosperity with two individually boxed mooncakes presented in an elegant casing of dark ebony tone.
