Muralilal Armugum To Lead The F&B Team at Aloft Kuala Lumpur Sentral

Aloft Kuala Lumpur Sentral welcomes Muralilal Armugum as its’ newly appointed Director of Beverage and Food. Joining the sassy team at Aloft, Muralilal brings with him 17 years of experience in the hospitality industry with a solid foundation in banquet operations and restaurant management.
Graduating with a Degree in International Hospitality Management from Robert Gordon University in Aberdeen, Scotland, Muralilal has worked both locally and internationally. His career highlights include the Shangri-La Dubai, Shangri-La Surabaya, Hilton Kuala Lumpur, and the St. Regis Doha, where he served as Restaurant General Manager for Opal by Gordon Ramsay, the highly acclaimed restaurant by Michelin-starred chef.
Prior to joining Aloft Kuala Lumpur Sentral, Muralilal served as the Food & Beverage Manager for Banyan Tree Kuala Lumpur and Pavilion Hotel Kuala Lumpur, looking after the operation of five restaurants and two bars. 
In his free time, Muralilal likes to spend time with his wife and daughter, keeping fit by cycling and swimming. As someone who is passionate about what he does, his favourite cuisine is Asian; he is also an avid listener of R&B and Hip-Hop. A well-seasoned traveler, Muralilal’s passion for F&B coupled with his international exposure, outgoing nature, and experience in luxury collection hotels makes him the perfect fit for his role at Aloft. Where Aloft is shaking up the traditional hotel experience with innovative initiatives and a modern style different by design, he aims to deliver out-of-the-box dining experiences for guests, setting Aloft Kuala Lumpur Sentral as the trend setter for F&B.
Aloft Kuala Lumpur Sentral caters to the modern traveler seeking a unique experience. With an urban-inspired design, Aloft Kuala Lumpur Sentral’s guestrooms feature a loft-like décor with soaring eleven-foot ceilings, Aloft’s signature platform beds, oversized showerheads and Bliss Spa products. Designed with the digital generation in mind it has free wireless internet access throughout the entire hotel including all guest rooms. Additionally, all rooms are equipped with a unique plug-and-play connectivity solution which connects most electronic devices to the 42” flat-screen TV, turning the room into a high-tech office as well as an entertainment centre. The signature W XYZ bar morphs from a relaxed hangout by day to an electric destination bar by night. It serves a wide variety of cocktails and hosts regular indie acts by local performers for locals and hotel guests alike. The Tiki-themed MAI bar with panoramic views of the metropolis is set to reinvent the Kuala Lumpur party scene.
