Mid-Autumn Celebrations with award-winning Hua Ting mooncakes

August 8, 2019 By StrawberrY Gal - Food News Leave a Comment

Fresh from winning the Gold award in The Straits Times and Lianhe Zaobao’s Best Asian Restaurants, Hua Ting restaurant unveils an array of autumnal treasures to celebrate Mid-Autumn reunions.  Constantly challenging the boundaries of flavours and textures, celebrated Master Chef Lap Fai presents novel snowskin creations that complement the top-selling traditional baked selections, available from now till 13 September 2019.

This year, the dainty delicacies are elegantly encased in gift boxes sporting a contemporary turquoise hue and adorned with tasteful touches of chinoiserie motifs. The premium packaging makes for an exceptional gift and can be repurposed as a beautiful storage or tissue box, the cover centrepiece also serves as a classy drink coaster.

Exquisite Flavours to Fête the Full Moon

Master Chef Lap Fai’s refreshing rendition of snowskin creation: Hawthorn with Melon Seeds 山楂瓜子($70 per box of 8).  Drawing inspirations from his favourite childhood snack, Chef Lap Fai blends the sweet and tangy hawthorn paste with melon seeds into a refreshing snowskin mooncake reminiscent of one’s childhood.

Complementing his innovative snowskin creation is the  Mini Salted Egg Yolk Custard 奶黄咸蛋迷你冰皮月饼 ($70 per box of 8) which comprises a velvety custard paste studded with a savoury salted egg.

For those who enjoy a dash of alcohol in their mooncakes, don’t miss these two well-loved offerings – Luscious lilac-hued Blueberry with Vintage Hua Diao Wine陈年花雕蓝莓 ($70 per box of 8) entices with the tarte taste of blueberries, each bite is punctuated with generous bits of the berry and definitive hints of 30-year-old ‘Chen Nian Hua Tiao’ (Vintage Rice Wine). While brilliant orange-hued White Lotus Paste with Champagne Ganache 白莲蓉香槟 ($70 per box of 8) envelopes a champagne-filled white chocolate ganache to present a mouthful of bubbly goodness!

Featuring two of each snowskin specialty flavours, the Hua Ting Mini Snowskin Treasures 華廳迷你冰皮月饼礼盒 ($70 per box of 8) is a prime choice for impressive gifting, perfectly suited for those who delight in modern pairings.

Timeless Classics to Commemorate Lunar Traditions

Baked to a glorious golden brown and perfected with the Master Chef’s touch, purists with a penchant for time-honoured flavours will relish Hua Ting’s best-selling baked mooncakes including:

White Lotus Paste with Macadamia Nuts (Low Sugar) 低糖夏果白莲蓉 ($70 per box of 4), White Lotus Paste with Single Yolk and Macadamia Nuts (Low Sugar) 单黄夏果白莲蓉 ($74 per box of 4), White Lotus Paste with Double Yolk and Macadamia Nuts (Low Sugar) 双黄夏果白莲蓉 ($76 per box of 4), Seeds of Harmony (Assorted Nuts) 招牌五仁 ($74 per box of 4) and Red Bean Paste with Melon Seeds 豆沙瓜子 ($70 per box of 4).

Hua Ting’s Traditional Treasures Gift Box 精选烘培月饼礼盒 ($74 per box) which comprises the first four selection of baked mooncakes, makes for ideal gifting to those who enjoy these perennial classics.
