KakatooGo @ Petaling Street : A delightful Malaysian Taste

July 26, 2019 by StrawberrY Gal

It is always hard to find a good Malaysian Nyonya Delicacies nowadays, and this round we found one which is by the name of KakatooGo KL where they are located at the 5th Element Hotel.

It is one of the latest additions to Jalan Sultan where they are serving traditional Malaysian and Nyonya fare.

Nasi Kerabu Baba Fried Chicken (RM 17)

One of the signature here, this awesomely delicious Nasi Kerabu is cooked together with the blue pea flower and fragrant rice. It is then topped with the light spiciness curry, half hard -boiled salted egg, acar, grated coconut, fish coconut and a freshly cooked crispy chicken.  We love the plate of this kerabu rice where we cleaned them in minutes where the rice is fluffy and well paired with the curry while the chicken comes with the crispy bites. Awesomely good!

Nyonya Acar (RM 6.90)

And in here, one can try their Nyonya Acar (RM 6.90) which is alike the taste of Penang Acar. Light spiciness with the sourish taste of vegetables which includes cut pineapples, cucumbers, carrots, long beans, and vegetables. These is such a appetizing dish to go for!

Mango Kerabu (RM 6.90)

If you love to have some spicy kick, go for the Mango Kerabu (RM 6.90) where it is served with the thin slices of raw mango, slice papaya as well as added in some lime and chili.

Cucur Udang (RM3.50/piece)

Their Cucur Udang comes good as well where the cucur udang comes simply crispy with the crunch of mini prawns in it.

Nasi Kunyit  Served with Curry Chicken (RM 19.50)

Not just that, we tried their Nasi Kunyit which is served together with the Curry Chicken. One can taste the fragrant taste of the nasi kunyit. Once, you drenched the creamy coconut-based curry into the rice, they are really good and addictive.

Chee Cheong Fan (RM 5.50)

I am loving the smooth and silky texture of the chee cheong fan which is packed with flavours with the topped of the sesame seeds on top. Nice one!

Jiu Hu Eng Zhai (RM 13.90)

Don’t miss out their delicious Jiu Hu Eng Zhai which is one of the signatures here as well. Enjoy the squid together with the prawn paste and also kangkong with it. Topped with the generous amount of peanuts

Fruit Rojak (RM 13.80 | with sotong / RM 9.90 | normal)

Ends your meal with the appetizing fruit rojak which is complete with the local fruits and sotong. Topped with generous peanuts on top.

As for drinks, one can enjoy the variety choices of drinks from their selections. This includes Cendol Bluecloudol (RM12.50), The Passion Fizzy (RM9.50) and Lychee Crush (RM9.50)

Not to forget  is their homemade Signature Chendol (RM 12.50 ) is something to die for. Impressively good and delicious
