Heavenly Spa by Westin presents Trataka Meditation

February 8, 2019 by StrawberrY Gal

In honor of International Women’s Day, Heavenly Spa by Westin™ will present classes of Trataka Meditation throughout the month of March to complement its regular Wellness Calendar. Hatha Yoga defines Trataka as the practice of looking intently with an unwavering gaze at a small point until tears are shed.

Trataka, also known as third eye meditation, is performed in a darkened room using the flame of a candle as a focal point. This simple technique has a purifying effect on the mind and improves concentration, paving the way for a deeper meditative state. It also enhances the power of memory, strengthens eye muscles and helps develop greater spiritual awareness.

Classes will be led by resident Wellness Specialist, Jitendra Pokhriyal. Hailing from the birthplace of yoga in India, he is an accomplished instructor who has been tasked to help guests achieve their full potential through various well-being practices that cultivate renewal.

Each Trataka session is a 45-minute exercise in quiet meditation that invites participants to temporarily disconnect from the constant buzz of daily life. Priced at just IDR 150,000 per person, it is ideal for healthy lifestyle seekers looking to overcome emotional challenges, cleanse the etheric body and revitalize energy levels.

Trataka Meditation is yet another medium in mindfulness that defines Heavenly Spa by Westin™ as being in a league all of its own. As a recent Global Winner in the World Luxury Spa Awards, this all-encompassing spa facility continues to put wellness first. It offers a menu of time-tested body & beauty treatments supported by modern technology and alternative lifestyle practices for a comprehensive experience in personal rejuvenation.
