Love Tree Thursday @ BMS Organics

January 2, 2019 by StrawberrY Gal

BMS Organics’ Love Tree Thursday Event is one of the great CSR programs to look at. As global warming is happening now, we should put some effort and give some love to our beloved home- The Earth.

And this time, in conjunction with the BMS Organics’ Tree Thursday Event, we witness the mock cheque presentation from BMS Organics’ Chief Executive Officer, Mr Terry Lee passed the mock cheque to Global Environment Centre for tree planting at Peatland Forest – Raja Musa Forest Reserve (RMFR), Bestari Jaya, Kuala Selangor.

And in conjunction with the BMS Organics’ 21st anniversary, the company has pledged to plant 210 trees in 2018. They co-operate with Global Environment Centre and launched the ‘Love Tree Thursday’ campaign to conserve the Peatland Forest.  This is a great success where they not only planted 210 trees but successfully planted 420 trees.

And the Peatland Forest Program is actually beneficial and important to the eco-system were it actually help on the global warming. The program is  all about characterized the accumulation of the partially decomposed organic matter under waterlogged conditions to form the carbon rich soil called peat.  And the whole project includes the  fire prevention, restoration of natural water table, and encouragement of natural regeneration as well as replanting of severely degraded areas. It involves the engagement of local communities and volunteers in carrying out the seedling procurement, enrichment planting, post planting treatment and monitoring of threats.

In conjunction with ‘Love Tree Thursday’, BMS Organics members will receive a free organic vegetarian meal every Thursday with minimum spend of RM19.90 on retail products. For more information, please call their customer hotline at 1300-888-267.
